Hot on the heels of its official unveiling a few weeks back, The Quarry from Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games has shared an unedited 30-minute slice of gameplay taken from the game's prologue. The lengthy clip introduces Laura and Max, who eventually bump into Travis in a creepy house. What really impresses is the visuals, with some very good facial captures and dark scenes. The game's out for PlayStation 5 and PS4 on 10th June 2022.
Towards the middle of the gameplay, we witness a series of player-focused choices: you must decide how to interact with Travis as Laura, choosing to either be friendly or dismissive. We think The Quarry is shaping up pretty nicely, but what are your first impressions? Share them in the comments below.

this could be something very good because until dawn was great i look forward to this game
Don’t want to watch too much but very excited for this one. Until Dawn is one of my favourite games on the PS4, so really looking forward to some PS5 play with this.
It will be interesting to see Ariel Winter in a video game we’re so used to her in the TV series modern family! I’m guessing this is the same person?
It’s a shame I’ll have to play it on the Series X at launch since I won’t have my PS5 back until November. My wife and I got the platinum for Until Dawn the first week we had our PS5
I really enjoyed until Dawn. This looks great.
Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology are insanely great Supermassive Games. I can't wait for this!
Just platinumed Until Dawn and if this is anything like that, we are in for a treat!
Can’t wait for this. I love strong QTE games. They’re so much fun to play with the wife.
This looks great, also the video doesn’t give away too much if you are worried about that.
il have this pre-ordered this week.
love these type of games and movies.
for $69.99 on ps5, it better be a good long game

I am digging this.
That is all.
Until dawn was the reason I bought a PS4 & the first game I got with it I've found the dark pictures games pretty meh but this looks like it might be just as good as until dawn
Still play and enjoy until dawn now and then, so will certainly be very interested in this

I really enjoyed watching this and am looking forward to playing it. Very impressed. The character models and voice acting are top notch. Now do I wait Until Dawn sometime in 2024 to play it using a Sony Playstation Plus Premium subscription or do I buy a beautiful, physical copy, that my PS5 disc edition is hungry for, for £29.99 in the 2022 Christmas sales and then maybe sell it on if I so wish? Decisions, decisions...
Well done character with the older man, seeming helpful then also worrying/distressing back and forth.
Nice acting, and faces too.

It does but it also looks to have some very rough facial animation and mouth movement... I really hope that gets sorted as I like what Super massive Games do and as of now they have not reached the heights of Until Dawn.
I'm torn about watching this. I'd like to but I already have this game preordered so I want to go go in blind.
I recently got the plat for House of Ashes which is the strongest Dark Pictures Anthology released so far imo. Also visually impressive. And that score!
Yeah, I cannot wait for The Quarry!
Until dawn was and still is amazing.and the dark pictures anthology was good also.so im good with this one also.word up son
@WCB i skipped around and watched a lil bit , here and there to see how it looks and plays , it doesn't really give away too much since its the start of the game though , i mean if u watch a few mins of game play you should be fine. i was pretty impressed on how it looked though.
There's something weirdly off with Supermassive's facial animations that I don't see with games like Uncharted 4 and TLOU2. I just can't put my finger on what it is though.
I'm also a massive Until Dawn fan although I'm waiting for a complete collection of their Dark Pictures to play them all. This game looks up my alley although again I probably wouldn't pay full price for it.
@twitchtvpat thanks, I think I will give it a quick watch
I skimmed thru the video, but game looks alot better than the Dark Pictures games already.
Now if only I had the patience and stomach to platinum Until Dawn lol.
Hidden agenda another similar game supermassive made that is often overlooked really enjoyed that doing multiple playthroughs for the platinum
wait...did people already forget this will be a 70 dollar game!? /s
looks great. can't wait
the dude from Santa Clarita Diet is a great addition.
Out for other platforms as well. Please mention that because sometimes I read these articles on new game releases and when I read 'coming out on PS4 and PS5' I often forget to fact check whether these games also come out on my other favourite platform (PC).
@Blackhur_st dusting off those buried puns I see.
Looks great, loved Until Dawn.
Facial animations always look great (if a little exaggerated) in these games…but the body animations still look unnatural and puppet-like. Loved until dawn though. Their recent out puts not so much. Hopefully this one will be good…they push them out quick though
@NeThZOR Didn't even realise. Serendipity.
