A Handful of Games Separate PS Plus Extra, Premium Lists in USA, Europe

Someone needs to hurry up and remake inFamous. Or at least give us a Remaster of the original two games.

So less games and rubbish Pal versions? Sony really aren't trying at all are they? I really do belive they were forced into doing this service hence why its so awful and poorly put together.

Also, not bothered about us Europeans missing out on PS3 titles, I want downloadable games so doesn't bother me much.

I'm just missing Evil Genius 2 - can't believe it disappeared from the service.

I think there are a few missing. Xblades on ps3 is in europe not usa for one. Also in US White. Knight chronicles 2 is listed on websites but i dont see it on the service.

I need InFamous and Quest For Booty though

@WallyWest yeah, I am going to play TLoU remake and will probably enjoy it a lot but I would take a remaster of the original inFamous games and the original Dead Space games over TLoU remake any day.

I don't really care about the PS3 games so that's fine by me. If anything I come off best here, considering both Shibuya Scramble and Zanki Zero are things I want to play.

I could have sworn I saw ratchet and clank quest for booty on my European sub...

I do think it's weird there are some glaring omissions, like the original ratchet trilogy...

It's bizarre that Playstation's back catalogue of historical titles is one of their biggest advantages over the XBox family of consoles, yet Sony completely and utterly neglects these time and again.

The inFamous titles hold up to this day. Re-releasing them in whatever shape or form would be a slam-dunk. But here we are, reading an article like this. And the original Last of Us is getting a full-blown update. Bizarre.

EDIT; back when Playstation still had more Japanese influence on its leadership, retro collections were trotted out for the PS3 and Vita en masse. Again, a slam dunk in that these were quality games that could be updated at relatively little cost and would massively expand a platform's library. PS5-exclusive retro collections (e.g. all three Jak games, all Ratchet games, Sly collection, Killzone trilogy with online stripped out) would give PS5 owners more games to spend money on. But nope, half-assed streaming it is.

The only one in that list I’m really gutted about missing is Infamous, would love to replay that again! Weird they don’t have the sequel though.

Would also love to have the MGS series on there since I totally missed those during my childhood! I’m going to just assume that’s down to Konami being Konami though, probably not Sony’s fault this time.

When does the catalog refresh happen exactly? I managed to upgrade earlier to Extra on May 24th since I live in Asia, but haven't seen any catalog refresh/re-roll yet.

So is it going to refresh in July instead since these tiers were only available worldwide in June 23rd?

I'm in South America and the Harvest Moon games and most games from that section of the list are also available so they are not exclusive to the United States.

@gigiard essential updates first Tuesday of the month, same as old PS+. Extra premium deluxe updates third Tuesday of the month. The first proper update of extra premium deluxe will be next month now that the service is rolled out everywhere.

I do wonder why something like the first infamous is not in the European version. Does it have to do with historic licenses gained for PS Plus giveaways in different regions? If so then, hopefully, it’ll just take some time to do some paperwork.

Tbh i'm suprised that even asia did not get the yakuza games but us in europe do. Not complaining though!

@ShogunRok no way its well behind American they have street fighter 2 which is only on switch I wanted to play it.

So Genji: Days of the Blade — a PS3 launch title — is available for streaming, but Resistance: Fall of Man — also a PS3 launch title — has still never been added (not to mention Resistance 2 either).
I always assumed it had something to do with the games having never been listed digitally on PS Store.

I'll never understand...

Im in NA and they really shafted yall on the PS3 games. This whole launch has been sloppy. Barely any communication and whats weird to me is alot of notable PS exclusives in the Premium tier are missing. Its almost like Sony doesn't have clue what their doing, or they just don't care.

Most PS3 games cost like 1-3 pound in cex. I'm actually glad I couldn't get a ps5 in-stock and got frustrated and brought an Xbox series x. PlayStation is like a cold disappointing McDonald's hate it and complain about it every time but still crave one every week.

@ShogunRok For me this shows that digital makes nothing better its another way lock off stuff. But dont worry ill keep my basic PS tier and screw it.

The only reason i got plus is for the backups of saves as a European i feel shafted which are paywalled for a reason thanks MS.

Im certain ill will keep buying physical untill its not a option anymore and go then ill go retro.

Oh. I was planning on playing through the Ratchet & Clank PS3 games from Quest for Booty. That's a kick in the teeth. Probs won't upgrade then.

I’m from the USA and that’s way too big of a discrepancy for EU users. It pretty much sound signal to most that premium in Europe isn’t as worthwhile. I wonder why there’s such a big difference.

My biggest overall complaint is Small Soldiers from PS1 still isn’t on any tier or region. Smh

Genuinely wonder the Premium tier mainly exists for sales psychology: with a 3 tier options, people tend to pick the middle one. I'll bet Extra is the most common subscription before long whereas had there only been Essential and Extra then fewer people might have upgraded.

I have 18 days left of my sub. It let me upgrade to premium for £2.66. I've turned off auto-renewal. I'm going to play what I can of the PS3 games in that time and then I'm done with PS subscriptions.

Oddly, the same thing happened with My NSO. The announcement and launch of their expansion pak was just so off putting that I stopped even the basic level.

Literally just MS to axe XBLG now. These paid online services are extremely outdated now and I don't think anybody should be paying for them. Even if you like online games now, chances are it's a F2P and you don't need a sub to play it.

Was scrolling down thinking it wasn't much of a difference and then got to the premium list and seen how much more screwed we were getting especially with all of those Resident Evil games.

Been checking out the lists and even the list for all games doesn't seem to show everything. yesterday the first Infamous games wasn't showing anywhere but now is and I have at least spotted the the Batman return to Arkham games don't show on the complete list but do under the classics one. So the organisation really needs to be sorted out.

I sure am glad I haven't upgraded to this yet. That's not even a small difference, that's a massive difference in content. Disgustingly big even.

Though have to say, seeing Shibuya Scramble, Steins;Gate, Zanki Zero and Yakuza on the EU store is pretty cool. (But also really weird.)
