Developer State of Play has announced the PS5 and PS4 ports of its hit mobile game South of the Circle will release on 3rd August 2022. A new trailer has been revealed to mark the moment, which shares a variety of clips from the game as well as how the control scheme has been adapted for console pads. Just substitute the Xbox buttons for PlayStation prompts if you're watching the footage above.
Lasting roughly three to four hours, the studio has compared the game to the likes of Firewatch and What Remains of Edith Finch, so you already know you're in for a story-focused experience that's somewhat light on gameplay. You'll be travelling to the antarctic at the height of the Cold War in the 1960s for "a deeply emotional narrative experience," says an 11 Bit Studios spokesperson.
We'll have a South of the Circle review to share in the lead-up to the game's PS5, PS4 release, but what are your first impressions? Share them in the comments below.

Comparing your game to What Remains of Edith Finch and Firewatch is very bold. Those are two amazing games. It better not disappoint.
