Sifu is getting a big summer update next week, on the 31st August. A load of new gameplay modifiers will be added to the super stylish action title, allowing players to tweak things like health, damage, structure, and more to suit their needs. This means that you can crank Sifu's difficulty up to an extreme degree, or tone it down to the point where you can't be killed. A scoring system is being added as well, giving you yet more reason to master your martial arts.
It's another significant overhaul for Sifu, which received dedicated difficulty settings in a patch that released back in May. Said settings opened up the game to many more potential players, and we're sure that this upcoming patch will have a similar effect. We're also sure that it won't be long until you see all kinds of insane challenge runs being posted on YouTube.

Hope they patch in new weapons and costumes at some point. Nunchuks and a black and yellow "Game of Death" style onesie would be awesome. Great to see such a brilliant indie game getting significant post release support.
Nice. Just got the platinum last month. I guess I'm not done with this game just yet.
Correction: the game is not done with me.
So has this game now gone from a 7 or 8 out of 10 difficulty platinum to a 1 or 2 out of 10 difficulty platinum. Whats happened to the very easy, easy, normal standard, hard, very hard and hardcore nutter mode difficulties in games
@Beerheadgamer82 The usual difficulty settings are still there, this is just a custom one so you can tweak everything to your liking. You could make an ultra-hard difficulty just as easily as an ultra-easy one. There's nothing wrong with toning the game down a little.
I wish returnal had these kind of options
Hope they add this to PS+ extra/premium soon.
@Peterchu I'm all for difficulty settings, I always start on standard diff depending on the game. I maybe wrong but I don't think Sifu originally released with any difficulty options?
@Beerheadgamer82 Nah, two difficulty options (easy and hard) were added in the previous update. This next update makes it so you can customise things even further.
Great news, it could do with more trophies to give me the urge to boot it back up. Loved the game but played it to death (literally for my characters sake) and I am not sure I could get back to into it without the incentive. Awesome game, for anyone yet to take plunge, don't miss out.
Incredible game, i do wish the Matrix Mods could be official DLC though.
It’s gone from ultra challenging to infinite health. Wot’s going on
This on Steam yet?
This game gave me more than an indie game. A beginner mode has been added, so anyone should try it.
@ShogunRok Does turning on the Infinite Health disable any trophies?
@KidBoruto We don't know yet, but I don't think playing on the easier difficulty disabled Trophies, so maybe not.
Hmm these are meaningless if they disable trophies tbh 🙄🙄
@SystemAddict they are desperate to get majority of people to play their game after scaring half of the player base away because of their stance rofl, too little too late 😂
@huyi a team of extremes one to the other. Greatest challenge for me even then was the price, I def won’t be buying now no matter how bargain bucket
@ShogunRok Fingers crossed it doesn't, just in case the easier mode is still challenging for me.
@SystemAddict it's your choice I'm too old for stress and frustration, idc if the game is not suitable for me, there are plenty of games that are far more satisfying and I've enjoyed honestly
@KidBoruto is it that bad? I've avoided the game because of how edgy it is and the forced difficulty, these "help" add-ons maybe are useful but I know it will disable trophies regardless, this game can burn in hell I don't care tbh far better games out there to play that are more fun, not my loss, it's theirs honestly 🤷♀️🤷♀️
@huyi it’s the challenge what keeps us perky. Remember that, if we’re not busy living then we’re busy dying I’m sure you recognise that more as we age. And I don’t mean partying but you get a good adrenaline rush trying to stay alive in games like this too
@SystemAddict don't go over the top of celebrating! we are here to enjoy the fun because of our age but when games like this take the mick with their fixed stubborn difficulty it becomes a problem, I'm glad that they have added things to make the experience more easier but from the get go they were edgy and persistent to keep gamers believing they can achieve something when they rig their game to the point where you cannot win (dark souls vibes) I'm not going to pay for a game like that, which doesn't respect my time and persistence smdh, I'm still not going to buy this game not by spite, but on a very deep sale and consistency! by then they will probably add more crap to redeem themselves to make them feel better 🤔 I feel like the phantom thieves at this point regarding injustice, these Devs and people like that should get a change of heart 👍👍
