Otherworldly adventure game Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is the latest game to get hit with the delay hammer, slipping its expected 2022 release window for greener pastures, sometime in 2023. Developer Night School Studio announced the delay over on Twitter, stating that they want Lost Signals to be "the best game it can possibly be".
Lost Signals is a direct sequel to the original Oxenfree. Set five years later, it will see protagonist Riley returning to her hometown of Carmena, where she will investigate the return of a mysterious radio frequency that is causing a series of strange disturbances.
If you didn't already know, 2023 is shaping up to be ludicrous in terms of gaming releases, sure to beggar us all and drain every minute of free time we might have had, and we can't wait. Are you looking forward to Oxenfree II: Lost Signals? Are you disappointed by its delay? Tune into the correct frequency in the comments section below.

Given their future is going to be Netflix "games" (shudders),I'd rather see them go out with a bang as far as traditional gaming platforms go. Fingers crossed.
I mean, I'm completely losing all grip on game releases. It's a golden age, so much i want to play coming out so frequently. What's another year.. or decade at this point
In related news, Oxenfree 1 is now apparently available on mobile, free to Netflix subscribers (haven't verified it myself yet)
I really wanted to like the first one, but it wasn’t very good. I did platinum it only because I was “pot committed” I guess. Maybe Oxenfree 2 will be much better
First one was a delightful surprise, looking forward to this. Nothing wrong with a delay.
Loved the first game.
If the sequel is any better then take all the time needed.
I played the first game to death and recommended it to everyone I thought would like it, so I'm more than happy to wait for the sequel to finish cooking!
Oxenfree nailed branching dialogue choices. Any developer that uses this mechanic should take note. It was much smoother and more fluid than most.
