Update: Sony has had the video demonstrating the settings menu in Returnal taken down from YouTube, so now you know it's the real deal.
Original story: Come on Sony, just announce the PC port of Returnal already. This version for the personal computer has been leaking for months now, whether that's through SteamDB listings or the game's own developer running it on a PC during a GDC presentation. Now a video of its settings menus has been posted to YouTube. You'll probably be able to buy it and start playing before Sony even gets around to announcing Returnal for PC at this rate.
The clip shows someone messing around with the resolution percentage, screen optimizations, and DLSS modes. A few things we need not worry about on consoles, but important options on PC. The menu also allows you to customise the shadow quality, ray traced reflections, and lighting quality.
Sony currently has the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection lined up for a 19th October 2022 release on PC, and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is set to join it soon after. Sackboy: A Big Adventure will probably receive a PC port too if SteamDB listings are anything to go by, but it too is yet to be revealed.

Just do day and date so I don't have to buy a PS6. Sony giving up on Japan and doing their best to make PS5 useless.
Cool. My portable PS5/Steamdeck is getting lonely.
Another sign of a showcase coming soon?
It also looks like Bend's new game might be revealed shortly.
Guess the PS5 SSD and the Dualsense weren't that essential as Returnal will now run beautifully on a regular HDD and be played with a Xbox controller!
@Tecinthebrain yeah, they should probably release the probably-in-existence-PS4 port.
@AgentGuapo While you certainly dont need a PS5 controller, the SSD probably makes a difference and this game would struggle to run on PS4, especially first gen. It doesn't maintain 60 on PS5.
@Tecinthebrain Who uses a regular hard drive on PC? Especially if you have the specs to run Returnal on it. Is this 2015?
@Coltaine22 I have a HDD just for storing files on but I wanted to test The Medium on it seeing as though the devs said an SSD was necessary. It ran fine on it.
Curious to see if I can get this game to run on my underpowered rig with some tweaks.
@Tecinthebrain Lol @ using a HDD in 2022. Good luck with the load times and stutter while textures load.
Seeing as I don't have a PS5 I'm definitely interested in this
I want to play on pc so I can cheese it with Mods... π
If it gets WeMod cheats it goes on my Steam sale list.
They've already said 2 years is about the sweet spot for their ports and the game is already a year and a half old. It's hilarious how people get mad about ports or how the fanboys use it as a dig yet ignore Xbox's day 1 ports. The hypocrisy.
They'll probably announce it after Uncharted 4 and Spider-Man miles morales is out. It probably be their PC release for December.
@Yupyupyup
Yeah, Microsoft already does it so it is a wash.
Also, waiting 2 years to then play it on a Potato PC makes no sense. People better off just getting a PS5.
@Agramonte Exactly. I have a great PC and I just got a Ps5 because I didn't want to wait to play Forbidden West and GoW Ragnarok. I even bought GoW since it was only $10 on console and has never been lower than $40 on Steam so I don't need it to look as best as possible. As long as it runs at 60 fps I'm good.
With Returnal coming soon, and Sackboy just announced. Will these games with Online play be cross platform play with PS5?
I'm glad I didn't buy Returnal and Sackboy on PS5, can't wait to play Sony's first party games for free on PC.
Canβt wait for the digital foundry review ππ»
Great! Good game gets to more gamers and we get better game preservation. Win-Win.
Bloodborne next. Pretty please
With Sackboy announced for October 27th, Returnal feels like a November/December release.
Customisable raytracing? Jesus, how much is this going to cost? β¦
@Yupyupyup I guess you're the target audience, the "I can't wait to play the sequels of Horizon and GoW after playing on PC so I'll get a PS". Sony's plan worked lol.
I really think Sony has gone back to the arrogant ps3 days.
How is this game?
@SmoothlyRough
Better than the playing it safe ps4 days
I guess the game didn't need the ps5 magical SSD after all π
@Yupyupyup why do you care if people want to play it using an HDD & don't care about load times π€·π»ββοΈ
Do people relise that weve been using
SSD's for years on our rigs its not new tech!
Crazy confusing why they won't just make an announcement already.
