A new trailer for Sonic Frontiers has arrived courtesy of Tokyo Game Show. SEGA's mascot further explores the new title's open zone environments with some fresh gameplay and cinematic clips, culminating in the reveal that, yes, you'll be able to go Super Sonic.
Once you have all the chaos emeralds, that is. As always, you'll have to gather all seven of the coloured gems in order to activate Sonic's supercharged form, and it appears the adventure will culminate in a big showdown with a gigantic boss. Par for the course with Sonic games, we suppose.
Anyway, the game's out on 8th November for PS5 and PS4. Are you excited? Tell us in the comments section below.

It's so funny to me how some 4chan leak from 2019 that nobody believed spelled out the whole game, right down to each island having a Super Sonic boss fight.
My kids are unbelievably excited for this and by extension, so am I.
@Jimmer-jammer I’m right there with you. My son is really excited about this, I’m excited for him.
At least this time Super Sonic isn't DLC lol
Trailers like that should have been their first and second impression. Getting more interested in it now as we see more. Can't bring myself to buy day 1 with God of War coming out the day after but a good looking steelbook in Europe would be tempting
I watched Sonic 2 Saturday night and the only good part was Sonic going super at the end, which I didn't expect in the movie. I'd rewatch a Directors cut that removed about 45 minutes of the movie, anything that takes place on Hawaii other than a video call.
I'll play this game probably some day, Sonic games amuse me, but years from now on PS+, I'm not that amused.
Nice. I hope they done away with the 3D games' tradition of saving Super for final bosses, its about time if you ask me.
Graphics look iffy to me, will wait for the reviews
I think it's shaping up pretty well tbh
@KaijuKaiser @Teddie-bear If it weren't for God of War: Ragnarok or Evil West releasing the same month, I might have been tempted to buy Sonic Frontiers day one.
Then again, I've never been a big fan of the gameplay for Sonic, just prefer watching his animated adventures (Sonic X, Sonic Boom etc).
