Overwatch 2 is out, and while things haven't exactly been smooth sailing, players who can get a game in seem to be enjoying themselves. Blizzard has taken steps to combat the DDoS attacks that have plagued the service title in recent days, and the game will be taken offline for maintenance again today at 6pm PT/ 2am BST.
In the meantime, why not check out the adorable Kiriko animated short that was just released? It lives up to the standard set by Overwatch's other animated offerings and is a fantastic hype piece to get you motivated to unlock the game's newest hero.
How has your Overwatch 2 experience been the past few days? What did you make of this latest animated short? Let us know in the comments section below.

my experience was load up the game, sit in a queue with 899 people in front of me, wait an hour, still 499 people in front of me, game deleted.
I got into the game and noticed that all my progress was gone. Seeing as I can't even go back to overwatch 1 now all my stuff has vanished into the ether. Due to this cross progression BS I can't just transfer the content over from my original save or whatever on PS4 and I don't think I made a Battlenet before the content was taken away. Oh well, I realized that I still hate F2P but I genuinely did enjoy OW1...
Blizzard just being modern day Blizzard again, I guess. No more "When will it release? When it's done." Now it's "When will it release? When we have enough garbage to tempt you into buying a battle pass."
@ATaco There is a merge option added now that will presumably give you your skins from OW1 back, along with everything else.
Don't know if it does for sure as it placed me in a queue for the merge. 400,000 im currently queued behind. You read that right four hundred thousand. Seems to be the rule rather than exception that everyone lost their progress.
@Constable_What
It's almost like they were completely unprepared for this...what a shame.
Blizzard used to be the Nintendo of PC gaming, or of the West. Now they're a generally disliked company squeezing out their latest mess. It's comparable to what's happened to Bioware under EA. Very sad to see.
I think this is the best cinematic short yet. Absolutely adorable and wholesome.
