CD Projekt Red has set a date for its previously announced livestream regarding The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition (that's the upcoming PS5 version, for the sake of clarity) β and it's tomorrow! The Polish developer will be showing off the game's 'next-gen update' over on its Twitch channel at 5PM UK / 6PM Central Europe / 12PM Eastern US / 9AM Pacific US on the 23rd November.
This'll be the first time that we actually get to see the new Witcher 3 in action. The enhanced port was confirmed what feels like an absolute age ago, so all eyes will be on the promised improvements and additions.
Just to recap, CDPR has said that the upgrade will boast "dozens" of graphical and technical enhancements, as well as integrated mods, and all-new content based on The Witcher Netflix show. We should finally be seeing all of this in tomorrow's stream.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition is set to release on the 14th December. If you already own the game on PS4, you'll be able to upgrade for free on PS5.
Will you be watching this livestream? In the meantime, practice some meditation in the comments section below.

"The enhanced port was confirmed what feels like an absolute age ago..."
Yes. In Sept 2020. That was over 2 years ago. So many of us have held off on another playthrough for over 26 months π
@Atreus97 Me included!
Last time I played this was on my Switch Lite at like 540p and 15fps. This should look like a PS8 game in comparison.
Yeeeeeees!!!! So so stoked.
What about those of us who bought the plain edition digital on ps4. Will I be able to upgrade free on ps5???
@Atreus97 people who hold up for CP2077 patches and next gen versions can partially feel you
I rather not hold my breath for it. It most likely will be the 60fps, better resolution with some mods implementation without any actual major overhauls to graphics engine or graphics itself.
Would love to get a sneak peek on their other projects as well
Can't wait for my first playthrough
Could you imagine if they somehow pulled this off with TW3 in secret? π«’

It'd make a nice practise projekt for The Witcher 4 debuting on Unreal π I know, I'm only dreaming π but still lol
Iβve been waiting ages for this update so I can do another play through! Iβm getting worried now though that my expectations may be too high π¬ Letβs hope CDPR donβt disappoint π€
Awesome if it is impressive I will probably play it again when it releases since it is a free upgrade.
I bought it on PS4 specifically anticipating the free upgrade.
I'm really looking forward to this.
On a separate note, does anyone know if there is a way to save PS5 data and upload it to GOG or Steam so you can import it through the Switch version of the game? I was thinking it would be amazing to be able to play the game on the PS5 and then follow the progress on-the-go with the Switch version (although that sounds highly unlikely)!
Can't bloody wait to play Gwent again.
Don't expect much difference personally...just the usual enhancements that don't usually take anywhere this long...loved it first time around not sure if I cba to play it again with all the other games I still have yet to play
I would like to replay the game, so I'm hoping the improvements are nice and substantial. I played it first on PS4, then again on Switch, and had a better time of it on Switch of all things.
@Bamila
Really? I cannot imagine an actual game studio taking 2 years to do minor things such as resolution, 60fps and adding some cosmetic mods that were already done by a modder prior (actually hoping). If this is the case modders do better things in better timeframes than paid developers.
Hype levels are at maximum! Letβs go.
@ApostateMage
@Ravix Bruh, they must have seen us talking about this. π
The hype is real!
@Digit2021 I am sure they been doing more in background than just focusing on the Witcher 3 in all that time. Besides, they aren't the largest studio out there too. It's hard to tell for sure, but like I said, even the whole generation above the original release, I doubt they will make it somewhat better than what PC version was already.
If you backtrack the original articles on Witcher 3 coming to consoles, back then it was a huge feast for them to pull it off. Many didnt believe it was possible to run that game on consoles and at launch it had horrible framerates.
@Ravix this is an upgrade not a remake right? I would love it looked like this!
@romenyc I know, I'm just daydreaming π if it was a perfect world they'd have somehow found a way to sneakily remake the whole thing in Unreal Engine, without anyone knowing, as practise for the next game which will be their first attempt in UE5. I just don't want to have to wait the many, many years it will be for a UE5 Witcher game π
@Ravix If this was a paid release i could maybe just maybe have 1% hope for this but no way in hell we're getting a complete remake in Unreal 5 for free π
@WallyWest aha, but... It's vital practise π it's really a secret TW4 beta test. I'll stop now π
All I want from it really is for them to allow me to gain New Moon Armour from the beginning, ray traced sunrises backlighting my decapitation finishers. And LS Hissrich featuring as a grave hag ππ
I still have not played it but have the complete edition in my hands. I literally had this next on my backlog list and then CDPR announced the PS5 upgrade and I decided to hold off. Itβs been a long wait! Canβt wait to see the improvements!
@Atreus97 I held off finishing Blood and Wine after falling off it after covid lockdown ended and we were able to go outside touch grass, and see real humans.
Looking forward to this.
@Bamila
And that is more than enough for me to be happy with, it's a free update they didn't even have to do this. It was a really demanding game for PC's that cost twice what PS4's did back then to begin with so if it's equivalent to PC settings that is enough for me.
Amazing game but I have already sunk hundreds of hours into it and not sure if a prettier game will make me want to do it all again. A few years down the line though I may be tempted.
I'm ready for this to have minimal upgrade which is hardly noticeable without pausing and zoomjng in 300%. Faster load times, slightly glossier, that's it.
