Competitive Elden Ring players may want to sharpen their swords, as a free update incoming on 7th December will open the gates to the colosseums of Limgrave, Leyndell, and Caelid. This new PvP-themed content will allow you to battle in duels, free-for-alls, and even team skirmishes, putting your chops in combat to the ultimate test. And you thought Malenia was tough – try taking on the type of person who’s already poured 5,000 hours into the title!

While this does look like good fun, it’s perhaps important to underline it’s not the seismic expansion fans have been hoping for. That will likely follow, of course, but for now these arenas should give you an excuse to return to the Lands Between. Do you reckon you’ve got what it takes to rule the colosseum?
