With Tales of Symphonia Remastered dropping next month, Bandai Namco has published a frequently asked questions section on the Japanese Tales website. It's pretty standard stuff — as you'd expect from official press materials — but one query in particular has caught the attention of franchise fans.
When asked about the possibility of more Tales remasters, the developer openly says that it could happen. As translated by Nintendo Everything, the quote is as follows: "We hear from a lot of passionate fans of the series around the world that they want to play old Tales games on the latest platforms. We as a team thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts. We are currently focused on the release of Tales of Symphonia Remastered, but we await your suggestions and requests in the future."
Bandai Namco's been on a bit of a remaster binge over the last few years, so we wouldn't be at all surprised to see more of its back catalogue get the re-release nod. In particular, there are a bunch of Tales titles that you can't play on current consoles. The likes of Tales of Xillia and Tales of the Abyss come to mind.
