PSVR2 and flagship title Horizon Call of the Mountain are both available for demo on the CES 2023 showfloor, it's been revealed. Off the back of Sony's announcements during last night's keynote, attendees are able to go hands on with the next-gen device ahead of its launch towards the end of next month. Seemingly free to walk up and play β or maybe you need to book an appointment β testers are snapped wearing the headset alongside presentational stands where every bit of the kit is displayed.
Snapped by Twitter user @Zuby_Tech, several demo stations all sport Horizon Call of the Mountain. The headset itself also looks slick, propped up with plastic stands.
CES 2023 hosted a few reveals for PSVR2 enthusiasts to digest, including confirmation Gran Turismo 7 will support the device in some way β it's currently unclear whether Polyphony Digital has just a single mode lined up or is allowing the entire game to be played in VR β and the announcement of Beat Saber for the headset. PSVR2 will release on 22nd February 2023 alongside launch titles like the aforementioned Horizon Call of the Mountain.

Excuse me if I'm being dense, but what is that third controller-looking thingy on the far right in the 2nd picture?
@frabbit I believe that's just the charging dock for the controllers.
@frabbit I'm wondering the same. Is it 2 more PSVR Sense controllers but at an odd angle? But there seem to be a piece more...
Also, on the last picture, what are the headphones used? Sony Pulse?
@frabbit yeah it's just the charging dock
@Olmaz
That is definitely the Pulse 3D headset. The PS VR2 comes with stereo headphones, but they are like wired earbuds. Check out the "What's in the Box" section here:

Had to cancel my pre-order. I don't have enough space to use it. If I duck down and punch out I'd be hitting desk legs.
I find it weird that Sony is showing of a car, psvr and a controller but nothing about their new TV lineup, while LG and Samsung are making waves with their new 2023 TVs. I wonders if they'll just continue to sell just the 2022 models this year, or they are waiting for that new Mediatek chip for TVs.
7 weeks to go! Can't wait to get it in my hands.
So curious how big of a jump it will look in-screen compared to PSVR1. Assuming massive with the resolution increase and OLED screen.
Always could see the screen door effect on my PSVR1.
@TrickyDicky99 Not according to the specs on both systems. But we will see soon enough, 58 days to go!!
I need those stands for my PSVR2 set up π
@TrickyDicky99 that's not actually true,the quest 2 has a ppi of 773 and the psvr2 has a ppi of over 800
@TrickyDicky99
Foveated rendering I presume will give the PSVR2 a significantly better image than quest 2.
Horizon for me was really boring. Also the combat wasn't crunchy , it was more like flimsy paper like physics. The story in the first game had me engrossed for 15 minutes, then it was like watchin paint dry on a wet wall. Least res 4 remake will be best game of 2023. Something to look forward toππ
Psvr2 also has HDR which should make it much nicer to view
