Sackboy: A Big Adventure has been quietly adding more and more costumes to its sizeable wardrobe. Developer Sumo Digital has made a whole bunch of post-launch DLC for the PS5 and PS4 platformer, and all of them have been freebies. That includes the latest effort, which gives everyone's favourite burlap hero a lovey-dovey makeover:
The costume, which has been made to celebrate Valentine's Day, is now available on PS Store for free. If you want to show your feelings, or you just like the pink outfit and love hearts, you can grab it at no extra cost right now.
What's your favourite costume in Sackboy: A Big Adventure? Will you be playing the game today with a loved one? Share your feelings in the comments section below.

All these DLC got me thinking they're working on another LBP game
@theMEGAniggle Well, there is a new Sackboy game coming next week…on mobile…

@Wheatly They are actually literally making these DLCs for my wife and son who still hop into the game every couple of weeks.
Selene Sackboy is definitely my favorite.
I've still kept this, but it needs some new maps or a new world. Costumes arent for me personally.
I’ve been adding all these DLC costumes for when I continue it again, I’ll either make the sexiest Sackboy or the most disturbing one. I think I got this 😎😎😎
@Wheatly It's very low effort (not in a bad way, just that it doesn't require much resources) to crank these costumes out. It keeps the game and IP in the media I guess. Brand recognition. Someone probably calculated it's worth the costs. And it's free stuff from Sony, so it's not bad publicity.
I don't think it's to get people to jump back into the game. Nobody is going to play it for a new costume alone.
As someone who still has yet to play the game, I appreciate the effort made by the company to still provide support for a game that was released over 2 years ago.
My wife and I just picked up this game like a month ago for something we could play together. So there are at least a few people still playing it.
That being said I was really pleasantly surprised at all the free content, even if it was just costumes.
I would love some new levels. A proper paid DLC would be well received from me, although I normally hate DLC.
I guess we have to wait until this year or next for astrobot or a new sackboy....
I wonder when this is coming to ps extra!
@Sequel obviously Asobi are working on a sequel to their VR hit
@awp69 yikes
@theMEGAniggle As Media Molecule are STILL pratting about in PS4 Dreams, perhaps Sumo could resurrect LBP and LBP2 on the PS4/5?
Or maybe LBP 4 featuring all the stuff from the previous 3 and some new stuff? I'd love to get back to Uncle Jalapeno's Boom Town....
@sanderson72 let's hope they are making a PC and PS5 version of Dreams otherwise who knows what they're doing
If Sumo were to make LBP 4 they need to Collab with MM or at least take time to capture something special because the charm of LBP 1&2 was missing with LBP 3. But a remaster of the first 2 would be amazing !
@theMEGAniggle Yes, LBP 3 was missing some of the magic/charm of the first 2.
That said, I booted up the Vita the other day and I'd forgotten what a good conversion it is on the handheld.
@sanderson72 the PSP version is quite good too but I had countless hours of fun on the Vita one. Wish Sony had more faith in Vita and didn't use overpriced SD cards because what a sexy and advanced piece of hardware that was
Not sure what went wrong for LBP 3 tbh because I'm reading that it was supported by MM, Tarsier Studios, and Sony XDev - all studios that worked on LBP 1&2 + the portable versions. 3 just wasn't the same.
If they ever make a LBP 4 then they should allow you to create your own Sackperson (body shape and limbs and all)
@Blofse @EquiinoxGII @Wheatly I'd love to see newer levels/worlds as DLC, but it's clear by now we're never gonna get those.
Our best hope is that they're hard at work on another new game.
