Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is a beloved adventure game that's been trapped on Nintendo DS for over a decade. However, that's about to change, as a revamped version is heading to modern platforms, including PS4. With the above new trailer, we now have a release date: 30th June, 2023.
From the creators of Ace Attorney, the game sees you playing as Sissel, a man who dies at the beginning of the game. As a ghost — and having suffered memory loss — you must get to the bottom of what happened to you and why. You'll do this by swapping between the land of the living and the dead, where time is frozen. You can use your spirit powers to possess objects and corpses to solve puzzles and follow the story.
This updated version of the game will feature its full soundtrack complete with new arrangements, high-definition resolution, and a retooled interface. It's looking like it'll be a good time, and we're excited to finally play it.

This is easily my most anticipated release of 2023. I've wanted to play Ghost Trick for years (especially after falling in love with Ace Attorney) and being able to both play it on the big screen and in HD? It's genuinely a dream come true, I'm so happy right now.
AND WE GET REMASTERED TRACKS BY BOTH KITAGAWA AND SUGIMORI?! I'M GOING THE WAY OF SISSEL FOLKS SOMEONE SAVE ME.
I should have kept this game back on the DS. A really good game. It will definitely be nice to play it again after all these years.
I'm somewhat interested, but will prob wait for PS+.
@KidRyan noooo! I'm buying day 1 for this title which is rare these days 😀 I enjoyed this so much on the DS ❤️ this was a total suprise to see the demo for this on PS4! end of June for release date, I'm just waiting for the price, it should 🤔 be reasonable 😁😁
@huyi It's $40 USD last I checked. I'm only willing to give them $20, or free with PS+.
Never owned or played the original game...didn't even know it existed until the remaster was announced.
@KidRyan $40? I'm disappointed that they can't make the price reasonable, this is a DS game after all, I can always wait and see but paying £30 for this will be daylight robbery, hell I think the original DS was cheaper than this when it 1st released 😡😤
@huyi I was off by $10, the remaster is $30 USD. My bad for not double checking first before replying.
@KidRyan so £23, I already have £12 in wallet so I don't have to top up much, I'm definitely going to grab this one, it ain't so bad, no worries but thanks for the update on the price
@huyi Did you end up buying the game?
