Update: After last night's accidental leak, Sony has officially detailed the big PS5, PS4 1.31 update for Gran Turismo 7. All the details you see below are now confirmed, but we've also got a look at the new cars being added to the game for free.

They are the Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM ‘19, Porsche 959 ‘87, Porsche Carrera GTS (904) ‘64, and the Toyota Alphard Executive Lounge ’18. The patch will go live at 10pm PST today, or 6pm BST in the UK tomorrow morning.

Original story: Polyphony Digital appears to have accidentally posted the patch notes for this week's Gran Turismo 7 update ahead of time, revealing another exciting list of additions and features set for the racing simulator. Available on PS5 and PS4 this Thursday, VRR support is coming, allowing compatible 4K TVs to run the game at up to 120 frames-per-second. There'll also be five new cars — as was confirmed over the weekend — endurance layouts for the Nurburgring, and more events.

The patch notes then continue with another two Menus to complete and adjusted times that reflect physics changes for Missions, Licenses, and Circuit Experiences. We've even got a tease of a future update in April: 2023's Super Formula cars from Japan. A changelog for the 1.31 update can be viewed in the tweet below.

The developer has been consistently updating Gran Turismo 7 since its PS5, PS4 launch in March 2022, but ever since the PSVR2 patch dropped, the wealth of content Polyphony Digital is adding to the game only seems to increase. Don't forget you've still got a few days left to try out the racer's superhuman AI Gran Turismo Sophy, which is available as a limited-time event until the end of this month.

Upon its departure, this bumper PS5, PS4 patch will take its place. Does anything here excite you? Don your racing gloves in the comments below.
