We've been up and down on The Lord of the Rings: Gollum ever since its initial reveal a few years back, but we're going to go ahead and say that this is probably the game's best trailer so far. There's actually some story intrigue here, coupled with glimpses of fantastical environments. We're still not sure why we'd want to play as the titular creature, in all of his creepy glory, but this fresh look at the PS5 and PS4 project does show promise.
The only problem is that we don't have a confirmed release date. Publisher Nacon says that the game's still on track for a vague '2023' launch, however, so we should be getting something a bit more definitive in the relatively near future.

This looks fantastic, just wish we had a launch date.
@Axelay71 not fantastic, if you ask me, but much better, than it did before. Delay was a right decision.
Oh that looks much better.
I was anxious af about this game. Now it looks like it knows what it's doing.
Trailer looks good! As a big LoTR fan I'll be playing it for sure and Gollum makes an interesting change.
Would really like to see Avalanche Software making a LoTR game sometime. Love the work they did with Hogwarts so I'd like to see them doing it for LoTR too.
Good enough trailer, considering where it was initially, but every time they show Gollum I can't help but laugh. The character model just seems so sketchy, it's like it's been taken from a completly different comedy game, a total tone killer 😅😅
It looks very dated to me! Sorry
Im glad it’s coming out this year. I’m most excited to see what this game looks like on Switch.
Look I’m sure it’s a great game and all, but you’re controlling the very being responsible for a large majority of the problems the heroes had to deal with. I love the LOTR universe, but Gollum is a lost cause. The ring corrupted him fully, I doubt this change will go over well.
Ok but where is the gameplay trailer.
@Rob3008 June 2023 maybe? They could debut a gameplay trailer during E3/Summer Games Fest 2023.
