WrestleQuest, the anticipated wrasslin’-themed RPG from developer Mega Cat Studios and publisher Skybound Games, will grapple with a 4th August release date on PS5 and PS4, following a mercifully brief delay earlier in the year. For those who haven’t been following this one, it’ll see you assume the role of a “young wrestling hopeful, on their quest to become one of the all-time greats by power bombing, slamming, and suplexing their way to the top”.
The press release adds: “Players will evolve from an aspiring rookie to world champ by training, learning, glamming, and slamming to the top of the pro wrestling food chain, while selecting the right moves, style, taunts, and entrance to ensure they’re the cream of the crop. But success in the wrestling world requires allies, so forming the ultimate party will be vital, as you work together to crush the competition and tag team your way to triumph.”
Of note, there’ll be references to wrestling legends, including ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage, Booker T, Andre The Giant, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts, Diamond Dallas Page, Jeff Jarrett, and many more. “Seeing so many of our wrestling heroes come to life in WrestleQuest is truly an honour,” beamed Mega Cat Studios’ James Deighan. “And our new trailer highlights the talent that players will meet in the game from the Road Warriors to Sgt Slaughter. But fans should be prepared for some big surprises, too.”

Also seeing the Road Warriors, La Parka, Sgt. Slaughter and potentially some others. Can't wait for this!
NICE! Trailer says August 8th though...
Ohhhh yeaaaaaaaah Bruthaa!!!
Yeah, I haven’t followed the WWE for a long time… but there’s something about this project that has caught my interest. Intrigued.
I hope it has Jim Ryan as a playable character. Would be great to obliterate foes using the "Activision Powerbomb" signature move. 69 billion damage guaranteed
Hope Hulk Hogan is the final boss
It’s a cool idea but I kinda wish it didn’t look like a GameBoy game from 1992
This looks very cool.
I'm looking forward to this game. It looks interesting.
@get2sammyb the trailer says the launch date is August 8th (or 8th August).
Better take a couple of laps around know your role Blvd, turn that controller sideways and shove it up your candyA*s!
