Chivalry 2 is available as a part of this month's PS Plus offerings, and the medieval murder simulator has perhaps the best implementation of first-person melee combat on PS5, and the most outrageous, as well.
With impeccable timing, developer Torn Banner Studios has released its latest content drop, the Raiding Party update, which sees players ravaging each other in an all-new game mode. Through frequent content drops, the base game has swollen to double its initial size; there really has never been a better time to try out Chivalry 2, with servers full to bursting with the influx of looky-loos.

Helluva article title.
I was sure this would've been a ps plus title before it even released. I remember playing the beta and it was good fun
I loved to play the first New PS Plus Game on PC many years ago, so I'll definitely give this a try.
I really don't enjoy 1st person games, but thankfully I looked it up and it appears that the game also offers a 3rd person option, so now I'll definitely give it a try.
It's absolutely mad! A little hard to control, especially when jumping blind into online 64 person battle, but I can see it being fun just for the unique moments you can create. I've already had a few nice highlights 😁
Can you attack your own team? Asking for that inevitable Leroy Jenkins.
After 155hr in Valhalla I think I’ll pass on this one
Definitely will give it a go in third person, much like Battlefront.
Played the tutorial last night. Was.... interesting... the dragging with the combos was throwing me off hardcore.... i think I was being a little too realistic with waiting for the swing to finish before starting again
... I'm assuming it's more of a mash the trigger and move control stick left and right to kill enemies.. type of game
I'm good I'll pass. Way better games out there to spend what little time I have on.
I tried it today. I just really don’t understand the combat at all tbh. Consequently it just feels like aimless madness with a lot of getting killed by people who presumably do understand what’s going on.
This needs to be a VR game.
I've been enjoying grid legends more than I thought cuz I'm really not a racing guy I don't drive in real life
@Loamy that's good to know! Cheers
