Team Reptile has today officially announced PS5, PS4 versions of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk are in development, and they'll release shortly after the Nintendo Switch and PC launch on 18th August 2023. When speaking to Gematsu, the studio said other versions would be out "roughly one or two weeks" later, so a PlayStation release in September sounds like a safe bet.
In a blog post, director Dion Koster said the final touches are being applied to Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. "Making this game has been a great time, a very natural avenue for us and a personal one for me. That is not to say there were no difficulties, but already the fact that I am dancing in my own game certainly makes me feel that it goes beyond the idea of a product. Heading more into having a blast and just expressing ourselves."
In addition, Koster confirms that regardless of the reception the game receives in a few month's time, Team Reptile will be creating more titles in this fashion. "This way of thinking has evolved during the course of the development of BRC and I can still see so much more depth to explore in the mixture of street and fiction, cyber and funk. So that’s why, regardless of reception, I would like to formally announce we will be creating more of these type of games after Bomb Rush Cyberfunk."
Heavily inspired by SEGA Dreamcast classic Jet Set Radio, you'll explore five boroughs of New Amsterdam to hit up graffiti spots and gain rep, all while recruiting new members to your posse. "Use skateboarding, inline skating or BMX style tricks in the unique environment based trick system. Extend your combos with manuals and get even higher scores by incorporating special Boost Tricks."
Are you happy to have confirmation Bomb Rush Cyberfunk will indeed spray paint PS5, PS4? Let us know in the comments below.

We must be careful with games starting with "Cyber" and rhyming with "Punk".
Hope it's good, I need more games like JSR in my life.
Looking forward to this, hopefully it is good and carries us until that leaked new JSR game.
I’ll admit my only issue with what that guy says is regardless of reception we’re gonna make more. Now I think this game could stand to be pretty good and I hope it’s good but imagine a push square review that comes out and is like “besides all the bugs and performance issues this game has its biggest issue is it feeling like a shadow of what it’s trying to emulate.” Or something like that and it gets like a 3 or 4 out of 10. This guys basically saying welp don’t care double down even harder then before.
I have it on my Steam wish list.
Wait and see what the Steam reviews look like and if it runs on Steamdeck.
But that is near when Armored Core VI is out... will not be in a rush to play this on PC, Switch or anywhere else in August.
