Is the DLC for Everybody's golf ever on sale? I really want it.
@Wheatly I've noticed that too.
I am not excited by sales anymore on PS. Same games all the time
@Wheatly Only going to get worse once they stop making physical versions.
Big recommendation for Kingdom Come Deliverance at that price, one of the greatest sleeper hit RPGS of the last generation. One for Witcher fans and Fallout Vegas fans - quality storytelling with a big focus on immersion in the world.
Do not waste your money on Saints Row.
It will eventually be put on PS Plus and even then don't waste your time.
@Kidfried that made me lol, thank you
Grabbed Octopath Traveller for around £15 on the Turkey store, that'll do for me on this sale.
@PixelDragon I discovered that fact a few years back, console library wasn't even that big but booting up steam for the first time and scouring the sales proved very disappointing.
@Majk_SVK I’m not sure that’s a valid complaint. I’ve been waiting for Not For Broadcast, Gal Guardians, and Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge to go on sale, and got the notice this morning. There are far too many games to scroll through in a lot of these sales, so lately I’ve been wishlisting anything that looks remotely interesting and waiting for the PS Store to tell me when there’s a price drop.
Might check out Obra Dinn for eleven quid
Dead island 2 £64? Call that a sale price? You can get the physical version for a lot,lot less online..wow!
It's the same sale all over again. Try filtering out on price, lowest price first. You'll see the biggest trophy hunting-shovelware on sale for less than a dollar... just like any sale. Still, there are some nice ones out there.
Fun games less than $3::
Nice games for less than $5:
@tinCAT-zero I've played the game since it released off and on, and I've never seen the DLC go on sale at all, sorry.
@Gamer_Guy I was thinking of picking that one up, how did you get it off the Turkish store?!
It’s not up in the US yet, but I can’t wait to scroll through the same list of games that I already either own or will never own because the last sale wasn’t deep enough or because the games are on PS+/Gamepass.
Edit: After looking through the list via the UK shop, Sony’s definition of “essential” seems to be a little different from mine. Didn’t realize how vital all those visual novels and shovelware titles were.
@Northern_munkey it’s GOLD edition though lmao.. you’ll get some DLCs within the next 10 years so it’s worth it /s
I did enjoy my physical copy for about 100 hours.. then I beat it and sold it 5 days after release and got $55 for it.. definitely worth $15
@Welsh_Will you need in Turkey issued bank card.
Octopath traveler 2 for the win.thats the first time octopath traveler 2 is on sale.octopath traveler 2 is a instant classic.word up son
@Wheatly There may be a bit of confirmation bias at play here. Sure, it happens a lot, but plenty of regular editions get discounted. Two days ago, I got Gotham Knights and Marvel's Midnight Suns. I think there were other versions discounted too, but also the ones with just the base game, so I went for that instead.
@PenguinLtd it depends on what you're looking at. Hogwarts Legacy is still expensive. Gotham Knights cost me a little less than 20 quid which I think is pretty good.
@Wheatly well when you say that "they seem to want to only discount the really expensive versions of games while the normal version remains full price", then, I'm sorry, but it's the definition of confirmation bias. Plenty of normal versions of games (with additional more expensive editions) get discounted. Just not every single time.
@tinCAT-zero @Unlucky13 Similarly, I don't remember it being on offer before? If it was, it was a LONG time ago!
Is it really worth it now that Sony has very kindly killed off the online servers?
@tinCAT-zero I’ve seen it on sale maybe twice (my friends and I all immediately snapped it up, as it wasn’t on sale for a long time). The best you can do is wish list it in the PlayStation app, so if/when it’s on sale again, you can nab it.
@tinCAT-zero Not since 2019. It dropped around 50% a few times before then.
@WolfyTn you can buy the disc version for £30 - £35 if you look around online..not sure how much the dlc is but i'd hazard a guess it would still be less than £64.
@Wheatly
I think the idea is that you went in believing that "they seem to want to only discount the really expensive versions of games while the normal version remains full price."
If you verified this by checking some games and seeing this to be the case, that could be confirmation bias depending on the method used.
To be clear, I am not claiming that is what happened in this case because I have no idea how you verified it. I do think that confirmation bias is possible in this situation though.
Can anyone speak to Miasma Chronicles? For almost half off I’d be tempted to jump in if it’s a good enough time.
@Wheatly There's a fair amount of truth to this. Diablo 3 for example is on sale for $20 as it is half the time if not more if feels like. The game's actual price is obviously $20, but by keeping it at $60 they can put it on sale while never actually discounting it from the normal $20. It's also roughly $20ish at Gamestop and Amazon too.
@Kidfried Yeah I seem to keep putting it off. Will let you know my thoughts if I do bite
@Bartig nice list buddy. I am going to get powerslave exhumed
@Bartig there's tower of time for less than 5$,, might be worth a look, wondering myself..
The dev for that game is working on another tactical rpg with slow down time, but scifi.
@ThomasHL yes, unique game, interesting, immersive, well done, except doesn't run so well on ps5 in bc mode, especially.
Wish all games ran smoothly.
The game has super nice acting, believable dialogue, nice melee combat.
@Gamer_Guy the turkey store is so good
@ErrantRob I heard it not as good as mutant year zero
@sanderson72 The game is still fun like it always was. I rarely played online. The big difference now is that there's a massive reduction in the number of items that you can use your winnings to purchase, like clothes and accessories. Before, these changed and cycled through a lot, and you'd get a new set every month. Now, its basically just the luck of the draw for what you earn for winning.
@Gamer_Guy Kindly sharee a link of where you buy your turkey psn cards from. Thanks in advance
Playstation never has any good sales. My PS library is smaller than any other platform out there. Almost all games I own for PS are disk versions because those become cheap a lot faster.
Meanwhile everywhere else has way better sales. Xbox and Nintendo tank the top for game sales with good prices and Steam and Epic come in after them.
