You’ve read our huge Blue Protocol hands on preview – and now you want to see a little more of the game in action, right? Well, this new trailer’s got you covered. For those of you who don’t know, this title is being developed by Bandai Namco in collaboration with Amazon Game Studios – although there has been a little backlash among prospective fans regarding the potential for some censorship in the Western release.

Either way, this new video focuses on the various classes available in the title, including the Blade Warden, Keen Strider, Spell Weaver, Twin Striker, and Foe Breaker. The game’s actually already out in Japan – it launched on 14th June, 2023 – but is scheduled to release in North America and parts of Europe in 2024. If you’d like to learn more about it, then we’d encourage you once more to check out our full preview through the link.

So what are we paying for in this game? Is it just like genshin with gacha mechanics for your party members?
@UltimateOtaku91
Taken from another article:
"Monetisation will come in three forms. Firstly, Amazon will release founders packs (as with its previous games) for early adopters including unique cosmetics. Secondly, there will be a season pass including a number of free tiers but with more rewards available for those paying. Thirdly, there is the Capsulator - a gacha model - though this will be amended from the Japanese release for the West.
"We're modifying it slightly for the Western audience, because the way we approach random is very different than the way they do from a cultural perspective," said Zadorojny. "So yes, the items you buy from the Capsulator will have a hard cap - so after X number of pulls, you're guaranteed a top rank item just to make sure you're not fighting random the entire time.""
Seems a disservice to compare this game to Genshin like NL did previously. If anything BP seems to be an MMO closer to Phantasy Star and games like that.
