It would seem RoboCop: Rogue City has been delayed, although going by various store pages, you wouldn't know it. The game is still listed on platforms like Steam as having a September release window, but according to the game's latest trailer ā which dropped during Gamescom last week ā it's actually been pushed back to the 2nd November. This is on publisher Nacon's official channel, so we're assuming it's correct (especially since it's a much more specific date).
So yeah, we're going to have to wait a couple of extra months before giving criminals 20 seconds to comply and all that. Based on what we've seen of Rogue City so far, it could be solid, schlocky fun soaked in 80s movie nostalgia ā but it's worth mentioning that recent previews have been a bit hit and miss. Hopefully the full game is worthy of the RoboCop name.

Probably for the best to be honest. With september and october having lies of p and lords of the fallen releasing i dont think this would have shifted a lot of units. I still dont think it will because it looks naff to be honest but i hope those who buy it day one enjoy it.
I honestly forgot there was a Robocop game coming out.
I normally don't get into the first vs 3rd person debate, but I feel like half the fun would be seeing him?
Curious to see how this one pans out. Think it will probably be like their Terminator game, nothing special but some fun to be had when it's a bit cheaper.
The '20 seconds to comply' will only count if we get to play as ED-209 @ShogunRok š
If it's delayed so they can clean up bugs and have a better game, I'm all for it.
If it's delayed to avoid competition with other games coming out in September, I'm slightly annoyed, but not much - because I rarely buy anything outside a sale, anyway.
@Splat Usually I prefer third person to first if you're playing as a noteworthy character, but I'm not sure if it would work for RoboCop. He doesn't move super quick or use cover, so you'd just be walking/sprinting forward with your arm outstretched, shooting guys. Plus with first person you get the RoboCop hud as well with the targeting system
Take your time, please...
@Northern_munkey Lies of P and LotF? You mean Spider-Man and Mario. Lies of P is already a critical failure if you've played the demo, it's pure garbage. As for LotF... Look, you just don't give a game a second chance. It's a shame how many casual fakes put there gave garbage like No Man's Sky or Destiny/D2 a second chance, no need to do that with the tired soulsborne genre now too.
It needed a bit more time in the oven and september is stacked so this can only be a good thing. Shame Nacon didn't feel the need to let anyone know on the game store sites though!
@Darylb88
It was reported on Eurogamer.
If you're planning on making a game out of a movie, either do it properly or forget it.
@KnightRider1982 I'm talking about the eshops
It was widely reported 4-5 days ago on most sites.
Iām looking forward to this a lot. And September/ October are so packed with games. So a very slight delay is fine by me
That tone of the last trailer got me so pumped for the game, Hope it isn't a super limited physical release like the terminator game.
@RobynAlecksys ahhh the troll in our midst emerges. Lies of p is going to be great for those who have been waiting for it and lords of the fallen is going to be awesome as well. It all boils down to personal preference and i'll get more out of those 2 games than i ever will from spiderman 2. Your attitude encapsulates everything that is wrong with the entitled gamers today and maybe you should try and have a little bit more respect for others opinions.
Finally somebody smart enough to not push yet another game into an already overloaded October.
@Northern_munkey bingo. I think both Lies of P and lotf look awesome. Ironically it's another spider kid and Mario that is being compared here. Despite his obvious trolling, it appears to just be a difference of preference / taste and maturity level of content than anything else.
Not everyone is hyped about another cookie cutter Spiderman game or Mario. Nor is the souls like genre for everyone.
I wish it was enough to just be OK that one has another opinion or tastes or respect For oneself than another ya know.
Back to Robocop, the last showing lowered expectations to a pass. It looks pretty unpolished and janky. Hopefully it's good fun on a sub svc at some point.
@KundaliniRising333 i'm glad we see eye to eye on most things these days and i agree that whilst spiderman/mario games are good games they just dont float my boat like the soulsbourne (i dislike that monicker) games do. It all boils down to personal preference and even though i love a good fps robocop just dosnt look that great. One for the plus sub in the new year i think.
Delayed? We can't have that!
