Larian Studios' month-long victory tour continues, with Baldur's Gate 3 earning accolades from players and critics to a frankly ridiculous extent on PC. Not content with humbly enjoying the lavish praise of fans and the jealous envy of competitors, the plucky outfit is again making promises that might sound insane from virtually any other studio: that the PS5 iteration of the massive RPG will reflect the state of the PC version at launch and moving forwards.
As anyone playing Baldur's Gate 3 on PC right now can attest, Larian has been smashing out fixes and patches at a manic pace since last Friday (including a big one), no doubt under the exacting gaze of Knight Commander Swen Vincke.
We've been putting together our Baldur's Gate 3 guide and can verify the game is in a shockingly good state right now (and performs well on Steam Deck, too). This is exciting news because, selfishly, while the PC iteration is good and all, it's the PS5 release we truly crave. Larian Studios' director of publishing, Michael Douse, confirmed the happy news on X, responding to a fan query.
