Baldur's Gate 3 is a reactive game, but not just in terms of narrative and choice. Some of its most exciting gameplay aspects come from developer Larian Studio's previous outing, Divinity: Original Sin 2, such as the explosive elemental reaction system, which might come as a surprise to more casual observers.

Over on X, Youtuber Okoii put together a fun clip that shows how, like in recent Legend of Zelda titles, BG3 rewards creativity over all else. There are innumerable ways in which you can overcome a given situation, and a darkly comedic physics system keeps everything grounded.

Case in point: there are many ways to tackle Goblin Camp, but one we hadn't considered was winning the inhabitant's trust, then painstakingly collecting and manually dragging munitions into the settlement before setting off an explosive chain reaction that would make Oppenheimer blush.

It's certainly one way to get things done and to punish the game's frame rate at the same time. In a rare instance of senpai noticing, Larian reposted the clip, applauding Okoii's work in undoing the painstaking labour of hundreds in the blink of an eye.

Is the charming Goblin Camp simply Fallout 3's Megaton, but for a new generation? Think outside the box in the comments section below.
