The PlayStation Network — commonly referred to as PSN — could apparently be at fault for crashes in Baldur's Gate 3 on PS5. That's according to the game's official Twitter account, which says that it's received reports of "sudden crashes" on Sony's current-gen system.
"Some PS5 players are experiencing sudden Baldur’s Gate 3 crashes in what appears to be a PSN-related issue," it wrote in a post from last night. "We’re investigating the problem, but for now, the workaround is to disconnect your PS5 from the internet."
We're not sure if we've ever heard of a developer blaming the network for technical issues like this, but we suppose the team must be fairly confident in its assumption or it wouldn't be posting it on social media. A bizarre situation that hopefully get sorted out — if it hasn't been already.
In related news, Patch 3 for Baldur's Gate 3 is set to drop later this week, on the 21st September. We don't know what it'll improve just yet, but it's expected to be a pretty significant update.
