Achilles: Legends Untold is an upcoming action RPG that mixes in Souls-like mechanics, and it's plotting an amphibious assault on PlayStation platforms on 2nd November. We got a good look at the classic tale's gritty reboot in some developer-led gameplay.
With combat governed by a Stamina meter, challenging boss encounters, and a world dotted with Bonfire-esque Shrines that respawn defeated enemies, Achilles: Legends Untold tells the familiar tale from a new perspective. In developer Dark Point Games' telling, Achilles awakens from the dead ten years after the fall of Troy, and his faithful Myrmidons have been hunted down as traitors. Piece together the truth in a journey that spans Greece and its vast mythology.

Going head to head with Star Ocean 2 Remake. Bold move. Might be their Achilles heel... couldn't resist ðŸ¤
Was all for it until I read ‘souls-like’ - I just want a fun action RPG in a cool setting without the threat of hurling my controller, or having a rage-induced meltdown because a skeleton killed me 2 feet from the next checkpoint.
Looks kinda interesting. Will be curious to see how it reviews.
'souls-like'? No, please, no more!!
Looks more like Diablo or Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance to me anyway?
Man, that doesn't look that great, it seems to me that the combat doesn't have any kind of punch and I'm mostly looking at numbers floating on the screen and health bars getting depleted. Plus the voice acting is a bit stilted.
I wish this was an action RPG instead of a Souls-like. not every game benefits from these mechanics and I'd rather play a solid action than getting frustrated with being put to the nearest checkpoint.
Looks pretty interesting to me. I shall have to see more, and wait for some reviews first though...
Hey it looks interesting to me to try it out, and it's been awhile since I've tried a video game set in Rome
