Don't Overpay Scalpers for Baldur's Gate 3 Physical Deluxe Edition, Says Larian

Unfortunately, I am sure there will still be impatient people paying those idiots.

I honestly didn’t know this went on sale. What a bummer if I missed this. Hopefully the restock happens ASAP if that’s the case. I don’t mind waiting for it haha

Really wish more companies would just do open pre orders for their products; they make as many as they need and everyone that wants them can get them. Then if it does well they can just do another round later. Any time the word "limited" gets put on something that just opens it up to scalping.

Larian seem to be an actual 'game' company, great stuff!!

My friends and I are not much interested in everything that comes with the Deluxe edition, except for the physical copy of the game. I don’t understand why they’re not shipping the game to classic retailers without all the bulls**t soundtrack and goodies. I just want to pay 60/70 euros for a Blu-ray and play the damn game. Guess I’ll have to hold on again I guess …

Ironic that the word is "don't overspend". It's costing €80 for the title in my country, and €20 to ship it. That's a big overcharge there, direct from the developer.

I paid for the deluxe edition at launch so I could play this over the weekend with a friend, and now I’ll gladly play for the physical edition so it can sit on the shelf next to my copies of BG1 and 2 and the expansions and strategy guides. This is one of the best games ever made and I’ll easily get 200 hours of playing time out of it eventually. From that standpoint, a couple hundred bucks is a very reasonable price to pay in my opinion.

Scalpers tried to scalp the new Steam Deck OLED regular and LE but the stock didn't run out. So they're stuck with 600-700 euro units. It's great seeing them fail.

Why not sell it in stores and Amazon right away? Why make it direct?

How do we get in UK without paying import duties and shipping (if we buy direct from Larain studios)
