Dead by Daylight studio Behaviour Interactive appears ready to confirm Alan Wake protagonist... Alan Wake will be the next playable Survivor in the multiplayer game. The developer has published a new Twitter post that teases a blinking flashlight, presumably referring to the one the writer uses in-game to fight back the dark presence. More information will be shared tomorrow, so there's not long to wait until this is all confirmed.
This wouldn't be the first time Alan Wake has crossed over into another game, as the character is also playable in Fortnite. There was even a special Fortnite event where you could recap the first game's story ahead of Alan Wake 2 within the Battle Royale title. The next chapter in Dead by Daylight's roadmap is focused on Survivors, so this would rule out playing as Mr. Scratch.
Would you go back to Dead by Daylight to play as Alan Wake? Let us know in the comments below.

The amount of support this game still gets almost eight years after release is impressive.
Nice. Even better if they get the actual voice actor- they didn't for the Resident Evil characters.
@zhoont I mean not having the current voice for Ada isn't really a bad thing π
@Stevemalkpus thats what zero competition does. im more shocked people actually still play this game but i shouldnt be.
@nomither6 there are a ton of competitors and clones, big named ones too. DBD is the best one though... Not sure why it gets so much hate - it's fun, looks pretty good, great for playing with friends, and constantly updated. If people want perfectly balanced games and no issues whatsoever then they need to reset their expectations
@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy competition as in other games as popular as it. those failed games that tried to compete might as well be non-existent . new players might enjoy DBD , but itβs pretty bad
Flashlights in the right hands can be extremely frustrating for lower level killers. I can imagine the derision they're feeling knowing a flashlight specialist is on his way π
@zhoont the VA for Leon is the former vocalist for a metal band I listen to a lot so for me that was a great consolation.
