The Ace Attorney series is a fan favourite, with Capcom's outrageous legal comedies only getting better with time, like fine gaming wine. In recent years, we've had bundled collections like Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles to hold us over. However, the last new entry was 2016's Spirit of Justice on Nintendo 3DS, leading some fans to speculate the series had retired.
That's not the case, according to Kenichi Hashimoto, producer of the upcoming Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy (which includes Spirit of Justice), out on 25th January on PS4. Japanese language outlet 4Gamer (thanks, Noisy Pixel) enquired about the experience gained using Capcom's impressive RE ENGINE for the project and what the future holds for the series: "I cannot tell you anything at this point in time. However, it is true that we have gained knowledge in creating adventure games with RE ENGINE. Ace Attorney will not be stopping as a series, so I hope you will look forward to hearing more about it."

You know the best way to show us the AA series is, obviously, not stopping Capcom? Officially announce Ace Attorney 7 (which we know exist) ASAP.

Very excited to hear this. I mean, AA7 must be in the pipeline! But I get that they want to let Apollo Justice have it's moment first before announcing anything new. I suspect AJ will sufficiently scratch my AA itch for the coming months.

Just finished The Great Ace Attourney games on my Switch and they were incredible. Glad to hear the series is continuing.
That’s nice to know about one of my favorite series still going. We still need a Miles Edgeworth Investigation collection too.
I'll always be there for more Ace Attorney, but I'd be lying if I said the long period of news drought hasn't put a damper on my excitement.
Looking forward though I think deca police will be holding me over until then.
Not sure where it can go, but i will be intrigued to see more.

Ace Attorney iconography has penetrated the mainstream in a way most games could only dream of. Everyone recognises the finger point, the haircut and the “Objection!”
