Apparently jumping the gun, a trailer for an unannounced Five Nights at Freddy's game has leaked and been confirmed to be real by franchise creator Scott Cawthon. It's a creepy-looking 16-bit adventure game featuring gorgeous pixel art, apparently based on Into the Pit, a collection of novellas co-written by Cawthon and set in the FNAF universe.
Important details like platform and release date remain scarce, but the trailer itself surfaced on the FNAF subreddit after apparently leaking ahead of an impending announcement. In a surprise twist, Cawthon himself popped up and confirmed the game was real, encouraging fans to share the trailer and get excited: "No need to keep it all hush-hush. It's okay! Yes, I was trying to keep it a secret for a bit longer, but now that it's out, that's fine. This game has been in development for a really long time, actually, and I'm really proud of the final product. It will be a 10th-anniversary game!"
Even better, the developer has been revealed to be Mega Cat Studios, the team behind 2023's WrestleQuest, explaining where that gorgeous pixel art aesthetic came from. What do you think of the surprise reveal of Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit? Does it look like a spooky journey worth taking? Run and hide in the comments section below.

I don't normally give a damn about FNAF, but this looks intriguing. I dig the creepy vibe and pixel art.

Never played Fnaf but this is kinda cool!
Hope its on ps5 !!
Poor kid, ran away to the ultimate nightmare.
Haven't got around to getting the first game or so (looks like it'd be easier with mouse vs PS4 controls),but definitely a sucker for nice looking pixel adventure game like this!
Fingers crossed it gets a PS port & not a Switch exclusive but will keep an eye out anyways!👍
Five Nights at Freddy's? Isn't this the game where a child murderer in a animatronic suit impregnates a male?
@Robocod It will be on PC for sure. But I do like to believe this will come to Xbox (both One and Series), PlayStation (both 4 and 5), and the Switch since all the other Fnaf games came to these consoles too.
For those who don’t know, Into the Pit is a story from a book called Fazbear Frights.
@anoyonmus Probably guessing Steam since FNAF still hasn't made a GOG appearance but yep, happy to see a classic 16bit style vs the seemingly good but really don't like that artsyle Return to Monkey Island.
@Robocod Yeah for PC it will be on Steam. I do hope it comes to Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo Switch too as well since the previous FNAF games made it to those consoles.
Oh and also the developer behind this game already confirmed the game's existence via Twitter (X). So this game is indeed happening. It is based on the Into the Pit story.

Update: game is confirmed to be coming out on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.It was announced and confirmed at the Guerilla showcase.
@Robocod I have the first game on Switch and considering you sit and just use doors and cameras, it’s not difficult with controller controls. Just use controller buttons and you don’t necessarily have to move to the door and close it. You can just do it from the button.
