DON'T NOD has put out a new trailer for upcoming PS5 title Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, this time focusing on the relationship between the two main characters set to explore New Eden of the 1690s. With a story focus for roughly two-thirds of the footage, it gives way to magical gameplay clips and combat. The game's out on 13th February 2024, just after heavier hitters like Persona 3 Reload and Helldivers 2.
"Antea and Red are lovers and Banishers, trained spirit-hunters, protecting people from lingering specters," a new press release goes to explain. "But when tragedy strikes and Antea herself becomes a ghost, will you honor your Banisher oath or sacrifice the living in a desperate bid to bring your beloved back?"
The PS5 title's up for pre-order on the PS Store for £49.99 / $59.99, so you can be safe in the fact you're not having to pay top dollar for this one like other bigger releases. Are you interested in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden? Let us know in the comments below.

IDK, maybe its just me but this looks incredibly bland.
Can this find a space when games like Immortals of Aveum and Atlas Fallen failed? Hopefully it has something to set itself apart.
Looks like another AA game I'll wait to buy on a 70% off deal.
It looks so derivative. Even if it's a fantastic game I don't think it will sell well because it does very little to stand out from the crowd.
Not sure whether I will end up playing the game, but I do have the Collector's Edition of the game pre-ordered...
@themightyant atlas fallen failed? That's a bummer, thought it looked pretty neat.
And wish Focus nothing but success.
Also in fairness this doesn't launch for 80, it's only 60, though if AF wasn't a success story at just 50 I dunno what to say 😭
This looks like it has "sleeper hit" or "cult classic" written all over it. It looks like a B-tier TLOU blended with God of War or something. I'll prolly buy it for bottom dollar a few years from now and enjoy it quite a bit.
@Gunnerzaurus I buy them when they are good and interest me. I'm not going to buy a bad game or one I won't like.
@Cherip-the-Ripper They said sales were well below expectations, but did say it was getting an updated version for 2024
This year is gonna be so insane
This one is already more interesting than all AAA titles last year combined.
And we get even more with Ronin etc..
Such bizarre takes here. This gets called derivative and boring; Yet when Sony puts out literally another copy and paste 3rd person sequel if even that and not just a remaster, everyone calls them masterpieces. All the while calling for something new a week later. Yet when something new comes along with a seemingly unique story and accompanying gameplay mechanics, it's written off before release and a fair shot as bargain bin fodder? I think it looks very cool thus far and that was a banger of a trailer with great accompanying music to fit it (don't get me started on the new trend peddling to the fodder out there where no matter the game or setting of the game they release a trailer with some garbage hip hop track playing through it.).
I'm definitely interested in this and hope it turns out well. Far more interested than the slate of recycled content on the horizon: Dragons Dogma clone, FF7, TLOU2, another dated team ninja clone, another round of persona rereleases, etc.
I really like the look of this especially if they do the morality system well. Not being a big JRPG fan, Feb isn't as stacked for me personally. Looking to pick up this, ultros and possibly the inquisitor for Feb.
Definitely interested in it, personally not really interested in anything else other than this and Prince of Persia. I’m curious about the rest of the year and these rumors of Xbox first party titles coming to PlayStation.
Has definitely caught my eye and if the reviews are decent to good I’m sure I’ll get around to playing it, but likely not until it’s on sale
A demo would be great for this 🙏
I'm excited about this game! I'll probably buy it at launch and stick it on the back burner until I get through the stacked early months of this year.
I'll make sure to temper my expectations, and not expect this game to be something that blows me away. Not every game needs to be a personal 10/10. If I have a good time for a chunk of hours, it'll be money well spent.
