Jeff Minter’s output is iconic. Perhaps best known for Tempest 2000, the British developer’s catalogue spans all the way back to the 80s, with the likes of Gridrunner and Revenge of the Mutant Camels. That portfolio is being documented as part of a new interactive documentary from Digital Eclipse, which is scheduled to deploy on 13th March.
Much like Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration, this compilation will include multiple playable games, as well as archive footage and previously unseen artwork and documents. There’ll also be context added to all Minter’s games, courtesy of documentary-style interviews and more. And if all that wasn’t enough, an enhanced version of the aforementioned Gridrunner will also be included, running on the same core Commodore 64 code as the original.
You can check out a trailer embedded above which teases the documentary content and also showcases some of the museum-like features you can expect to find in the full game. With over 42 playable Minter classics included, this is going to prove a must-buy for any Llamasoft fans.

Nostalgia intensifies, at least for older gamers like me. I remember going over to my mate Tim's house after school so he could show off Attack of the Mutant Camels on his Commodore 64. Looking forward to this!
OG Minter represent! Still remember the Hover Bovver advert (a guy in a bowler hat mowing the lawn with a push mower), so very English. Keep playing video games kids, keeps those reactions sharp!
Atari 50 was a brilliantly well made package.
Can't wait for this too - such a fan of the legend Jeff Minter
Looks amazingly awesome. And very well-deserved.
