I have to see these suits first before making a decision.
Still on the fence about this game, looks like Nier and a soulslike game had an illegitimate child and never really cared for it
I still don't like £70 being the norm. 62.85 on Hit (better price) and 64.99 on the game collection.
Or could wait until a week later and hit drops to 54...
So many frikkin’ games right now! If MS do start releasing their first party games on PlayStation… I’m not sure that there is room in the schedule 🤔
I don't usually pre-order but I did on this one to support the devs decisions.
@AndyKazama It was £54 this morning and then they sudden jacked up the price lol! I wish I'd jumped on it.
With no neir games in sight this looks pretty good to me.
@AndyKazama £54.85 on Shopto.net - though i expect Hit will match it in the coming days
I wont be going digital anything. If i pre order it will be from The game collection or Shopto.Net but i will be waiting for reviews. Id rather pay £70 for a good game than 55 to find out its a pile of crap. I still had to zoom in on the thumbnail tho. ...for reasons.
@colonelkilgore It's happening, just accept it.
@Rob_230 yep that’s where I’ve ordered it from. Got it at 53.95. Seems to be far cheaper than anywhere else at the moment
Been burned FAR too many times on pre-orders so I’ll pass until some reviews are out. More than likely I’ll buy this at full price and close to launch as I’ve had this on my radar for quite some time but I can’t bring myself to pre-order an ‘unknown quantity’. If it were something like God Of War, Dead Space, Crysis, BioShock, etc I would do it as I know what I’m (likely) getting for my money but not w a new IP.
@theSpectre just coz I have a comedy uncle Phil avatar, doesn’t make me uncle Phil… hell I don’t even own an Xbox. By that logic, I fancy the pants of you 😉
If all the skins can be earned in-game as developers have stated, the only point in spending the extra $10 is to get access to a few skins sooner.
While I love the look and the gameplay snippets seem promising, I've been burned before. I'm waiting a couple months after release, when the worst bugs have been patched and there's a sale.
@colonelkilgore Not really directed at you, more at just anyone claiming the sky is falling because MS is putting their first party games on PS5 and Switch.
@theSpectre 🤣 well it was @ me… and I wasn’t claiming the sky is falling. Books and covers baby 😘
i think people have overhyped this game simply based on it's "cool" factor and the design of the lead character alone. the developer is unproven so people should be reserved and far more skpetical than they are until the reviews come in. i'd be surprised if it can hold a candle to bayonetta in the gameplay department. i'd also be surprised if the playtime exceeds more than 10 hours. in other words, it is likely a budget game disguised as a AAA game and doesn't warrant the full asking price. this game has style over substance written all over it. hope it turns out well but it is hard to be confident when we haven't even seen a proper gameplay trailer.
@Porco it's a ps exclusive that alone has ensured you won't stop hearing about it, games like this would do better on steam imo, I don't trust Sony not to remove anything they deem offensive to western audiences like they have done in the past.
@Deityjester Well if they did you'll probably never hear anything about it, because Shift Up have already said Sony didn't make them censor anything and her outfits looked the same from the state of play. Actually some of the new ones looked even more revealing.
@Deityjester yea, no doubt it is sony's marketing bucks that is elevating it to this status. otherwise, it would have launched quietly which is probably more fitting when you consider the developer involved. usually it requires a strong and proven track record for anticipation to grow to these levels. people are too easily swayed by a stylish trailer these days. probably best to be reserved to avoid diappointment.
to be honest, i wouldn't be surprised if this game turns out to be another wanted: dead sort of game. i.e. a game that is trapped inside design philosphy of the ps2/ps3 era but given a modern presentation:
https://www.pushsquare.com/reviews/ps5/wanted-dead
that said, it does look a lot more polished than wanted: dead so i do think stellar blade shows a lot more promise. f i had to make a guess, i can see stellar blade reaching as high as a 7/10 average from review outlets but should be interesting to see how this one turns out. sometimes its nice not knowing exactly what you are getting in an era where we are bombarded with franchises and sequels.
@Mattock1987 same though I was feeling a cross between nier and bayonetta!
Yeah two versions digitally.
Only one physically
skipped Bayonetta 3 so im buying this instead
Im interested enough to potentially preorder but i want to see some previews first
@Porco the game is 25 hours long it been confirmed.
@Rob_230 my man.
Am I the only person who thinks this game looks sorta.... generic and boring? Trying not be a hater I swear, just has a kinda soulless vibe....
@man_what
Your not the only one I've seen have that opinion on it. I personally disagree and think it looks pretty great but maybe it just isn't for you.
@Korgon when it goes on sale I will definitely take a swing
@man_what +1. But, admittedly, I have enjoyed generic crap before, so I might pick it up regardless.
@Relygon haha same
I'll be pre-ordering it from PlayStation Direct eventually. No rush, but I'm definitely looking forward to finally getting this in April.
Apparently Gamestop in-store pre-orders aren't open yet but as soon as they are I'll pre-order a physical copy and hope to be able to buy the Deluxe Edition content separately from PSN similar to what I did with Tekken 8 on launch day.
@Porco
I don't even have to play Stellar Blade to be able to tell you its gameplay will be far more polished than Wanted: Dead. And the latter, for all its jank, is one of my favorite PS5 games (can't help it, I'm old and still love games from that PS2/Xbox/GC era).
@Gamer83 i enjoy games from the ps2/ps3 era as well, including those from suda51 etc. i can tolerate jenk so long as there is an expectation there and the price is right. i am just having a hard time understanding what stellar blade actually is and if it will live up to the hype surrounding it. the developer is unproven and we have yet to see a proper gameplay trailer so i have my doubts.
They missed the chance no collector's edition with statue. It's gonna sell like hotcakes.
I'm broke for the foreseeable future so the different prices don't even matter to me 😅
@Porco
All fair points. We'll see how this all pans out come April. Sony was willing to invest in it, so hopefully it turns out to be good.
@AndyKazama When I was a kid NES games were routinely $50 at launch, which is $107 adjusted for inflation. The price of a PS4 game in 2013 was $60, which would be $80 today, adjusted for inflation. Prices haven’t gone up, they’ve gone down.
Definitely waiting for reviews first. I really hope this is a good game, it looks exciting, but the generic tone of the art direction plus the tropism of the camera on the protagonist's posterior are red flags for me. Wait and see.
@glassmusic Please leave reality out of this discussion, it's a website about video games, no space for reality 😂
It has difficulty settings, so I'm in!
Having myself some of this but not for £70 as other posters have already stated the physical disc (the one you can hold in your hands forever) is much cheaper elsewhere..
There was no physical collectors edition.. id buy a nikke themed eve figure lol
Cheapest i see is japan version on play asia for $56 but doubt anyone would want to be stuck trying to figure out how to read kanji for a $15 discount..
@adit365 yea to scalpers no thnx
@glassmusic maybe if developers didn't come across as greedy corporate organisations, I'd maybe accept this price increase.
@Icey664 Which decisions in particular do you want to support?
Australia high and dry for physical?

Preordered already deluxe version (10 bucks are not big deal) and can't wait for this game.
