Update: Just so you know, the character creator is out now on PS5. You can find it through the Dragon's Dogma 2 page on the PS Store. It's 4.4GB in size.
Original Story: Capcom is releasing the character creator from Dragon's Dogma 2 as a free download on PS5 — and it's out today. You'll be able to sculpt up to five Arisen (your main character) and five main pawns (your constant companion throughout the adventure). Naturally, you can transfer these creations over to the full game when it launches on the 22nd March.
If you're the type to spend hours making your perfect protagonist, then you might want to get ahead of schedule and give this character creator a try. It's also worth mentioning that you don't have to play as a human in Dragon's Dogma 2. There's a new race, known as the beastren — basically big cat people — who you can embody as well.
Unfortunately, there's still no word on a proper demo for Dragon's Dogma 2. Such a thing has been rumoured for a while, but we're starting to think that the supposed leaks were actually just pointing towards this character creator.
At the time of writing, the creator isn't available to download yet on PS5 — but we'll update this article as soon as it's up.

Well the gameplay looks very similar to the first game especially in the way it looks so Im fine with this demo. Also Im turning off pawn voices if I can since the first game was terrible with that.
Nice i shell get on and download it then.
The WHOLE character creator you say?! Screams a level of confidence in the release unparalleled in all of gaming!
I can't wait to NOT be able to determine how it is to play with such an unstable uncapped framerate.
Gee golly thanks capcom!
YESSSS! I’ve preordered the game, but this is exactly what I wanted!
Happy to be able to spend time on creating characters now and not feel like I'm wasting time not playing the actual game after it releases.
@KundaliniRising333 Normally I don't agree with you on anything, but the last game that did this was the new Saint's Row. So that's not super encouraging.
I usually spend a lot of hours creating my characters so this is going to be a game of itself for me. lol
With the framerate issues — and my extensive backlog — this will probably be the most I’ll play of this game for a while. I like a good character creator, so I’ll get some enjoyment out of this. I’ll play the full game when the remaster comes out on the PlayStation 6 🤣
I’ll get on that this weekend.
@Toilet_Goat Facts bro lol Rather do it now and jump into the action asap, on launch day.
You just had to chip in the negative or it isn't @KundaliniRising333
Had a go on it and its pretty in depth with a ton of options to play with.
@DennisReynolds Yeah I had a good amount of fun with it, even the customization of the teeth lol
It will be nice not to feel rushed to get to the game. I like this idea.
Capcom is the last great dev. MH Wilds is gonna be off the hook
That's it? No i won't be downloading it.
I want to have a feel for the gameplay. A randomizer would be just as useful. 😂
One of my favourite parts of any game.
@Enuo what a dumb comment.
I'm guessing you deactivated your brain before you made that one... 🤨
Spend a LOT of time in the character creation screen for any game that allows it so I'm in!
A sorcerer/mage is the best.i used it on dragon dogma dark arisen.and i will use it on dragon dogma 2.dragon dogma dark arisen magic is the best in any video games i ever play.word up son word up son
What a cool idea! I'm in!
Honestly surprised this isn’t done more often, considering how easy it is to spend hours in these things.
Will definitely give it a try; even though I hadn’t planned on getting the game, I do like a good character creator, and it’s possible that by the time I finish my first character, the game will be on sale, so I might end up changing my mind at that point
I love creating original characters, so although this game wasn't really on my radar (my backlog is huge), I might mess around with this.
