Helldivers 2 players are currently fully committed to Operation Swift Disassembly, a surgical campaign to eradicate the Automaton threat once and for all. The situation on the ground remains extremely fluid; following the successful liberation of Malevelon Creek, a symbolic victory for the forces of Super Earth, developer Arrowhead updated the game, which was apparently the signal for Automaton forces to unleash fresh hell, as some extras not listed in the patch notes began to make their presence known.
Confirmed sightings of armoured behemoths have been flooding in ever since. These lumbering, almost canine weapons platforms can withstand unbelievable punishment and are perhaps comparable to the Terminid Bile Titan in terms of threat level. Engage with extreme prejudice.
In addition, squadrons of armoured gunships will now support Automaton forces from above, further complicating the strategic situation. The combination of the two presents a significant new threat for all future Helldivers operations, with appropriate battle tactics developing on the fly. Thankfully, Super Earth recently made new and more deadly support weapons available, which should help punch through all that armour.
Have you encountered these newest mechanical nightmares on the battlefield? Is the current campaign in danger of stalling? Have you found ways to counter these latest threats? Let us know in the comments section below.

Love how Helldivers 2 is showing what the benefits of a live service are when greed isn't the focus.
I'm more worried about the almost invisible ships in the sky
@AdamNovice
Don't you worry about those. All will be revealed (hint hint) soon enough.
@DennisReynolds
This is a great statement. I was playing a bit earlier and we all agreed we gave Helldivers more money because they were not being greedy. It's that simple.
I'm really liking Helldiver's 2 approach to releasing content. They keep some secrets for players to discover instead of detailing everything in the patch notes. Then you hear from a buddy that there's giant gunships and AT-ATs or whatever and you're like "Oh well I've got to check that out!"
Push Square will have to figure out how to navigate writing articles about Helldivers 2. It is clear the developers like to surprise the community and the community enjoys the mystery, so it's not a good idea to spoil the surprises in the headlines.

@DennisReynolds Truer words could not be said and especially for a pathetic game like Suicide Squad.
@TheCollector316
Exactly, it's a real issue across all gaming sites and becomes near unavoidable. In the race for clicks they spoil so much stuff in thumbnails and article titles, it's very annoying.
Bravo to AH. This is the way to do a live service - a steady drip feed of activities to prioritise, new toys, new baddies, new unlocks, etc, etc. It has certainly kept me playing more than monthly or seasonal content drops would have.
@NinjaNicky the latest patch should’ve fixed the loadout issue, it’s in the patch notes and worked for me.
You would need to complete an entire operation to unlock the next difficulty, which would be three missions. On completion of the third and final mission it should prompt the next difficulty being available.
Funny how when games like this constantly give us free updates like this I don’t mind buying some warbound credits just to support them to continue.
@NinjaNicky when you complete a mission you'll see a green tick on the ship map. The immediate mission/s beside your completed one need to be selected and done.
I notice we have a free perk for the disposable rocket launcher. But I’m still looking for someone to do a blitz mission in 6 minutes with for the trophy..
I still believe something is coming from beyond the galactic barrier I generally think it's a massive force coming and the planet we think it's their homeworks on the map isn't actually there's. As a message was incepted and I believe there calling for back up or it's the illuminates (squids)
I thought another faction would come from the bottom of the map at some point, I want to see new strategems new orbital and eagle strikes would be awesome
