Helldivers 2 continues its winning streak over on the PS Store. Arrowhead's co-op shooter was February's most downloaded PS5 title, and now it's done the same for March too. It's in first place on both the US and EU charts, seeing off hot competition in the weeks since it launched.
Second place differs between North America and Europe, but both spots are taken by sports titles. In the old world, it's EA Sports FC 24, while MLB The Show 24 is the equivalent across the Atlantic. The two regions converge once again for third place, which is Capcom's acclaimed sequel, Dragon's Dogma 2.
Interestingly, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has fallen quite a few places; in Europe, it's now in 9th position, while it's dropped to 11th in the US. Rise of the Ronin is in the mix, too, coming in at ninth and fifth in North America and Europe respectively.
Over on the PSVR2 charts, cyubeVR has topped both regions, bumping down usual leader Beat Saber. On the free-to-play charts, Fortnite reigns supreme, followed by Roblox and Call of Duty: Warzone.
Check out the full charts here. What games did you nab from the PS Store in March? Tell us in the comments section below.

Rebirth really deserves to be higher than it is imo
Rebirth needs to be higher, my gosh what an incredible ride that was. The amount of content packed into that $70 was astounding (I'm 120hrs in and still haven't gone back and finished all the side quests)
I’m just glad to see Rise of the Ronin hanging in there!
Who would have thought that a sensibly priced game would sell so well. Maybe Sony will see the benefit of none AAA games now and we will get some more reasonably priced games from them to fill the schedule.
Helldivers 2 definitely deserves all of its success. Pretty crazy that it will probably be in the top 5 selling game sif the year.
I played over 100 hours of Dragon's Dogma and it's captured a sense of exploration I haven't felt since playing old Bethesda games. It's clunky, it has weird and boring quests, but the combat is amazing and the exploration is so entertaining. It definitely deserves praise and sales.
Picked up a week ago.... blasting for democracy and liberty since then....
Thank you, Liam for including PSVR2 in the report! It really DOES exist! 😁
Cyube deserves it. Fantastic experience though it's a bit of an NMS launch in the worst way where it's just a shell and half the game hasn't been added yet. I'm still waiting for the teleport to home torch patch because I wandered around looking for iron deposits and now the mountains all look different and I have no idea where my base is so I'm stuck ATM until that patch. But hours disappear in that game
Helldivers 2 has also been top 3 most sold games on Steam for two months now.
If it wasn't that all the industry knows Helldivers is a PlayStation IP (everyone but some pc players lol, they just aren't used to how good PS games are) Tencent would have bought ArrowHead two months ago.
Rebirth dropping down like it should. I can see the final game selling way less than it could have because of the writing changes.
I went from max excitement pre-Remake to indifferent and cautious with Rebirth to not even caring about part 3. I'll tune in for the Weapons if anything. The story is horrible.
Baldur’s Gate still being so high up is impressive. I thought it would’ve hit a ceiling by now after all the GOTY hype has largely subsided, but no it’s still up there.
@Enigk eh-hem, and the benefit of live-service games (done right) of course.
@Dodoo I mean it launched over 6 weeks ago. I imagine it is over the peak of its “launch window” sales parabola. It is unrealistic to expect a single player game to have the growth of a GaaS like Helldivers.
@nomither6 I haven't played it but I believe stuff in Helldivers 2 doesn't expire and you can win in game currency so you can play the game whenever and pay nothing more than entry without having to miss out by not paying for a skin before it leaves the store.
Will this information shape the strategy of their impending live service games already announced? We can hope.
FFVII Rebirth Game of the Year. It saddens me seeing its barely in the top ten. Its such an amazing piece of video game.
I love the mocap behind the scenes on the making of the intro!

@nomither6 and thanks to Bungie and Destiny 2 they also have experience with services full of terrible decisions, people seem exited about the last major DLC but who knows how well it'll do, they already lost a lot of money. As a result they freed ND, Insomniac and others cancelling half the planned services and half of the survivor were delayed. So one could say there is balance now lol.
@gymratAmarillo actually it's not. Helldivers ip is owned by Arrowhead, independent studio.
@jedinite nope.

"©2024 Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC. Developed by Arrowhead Game Studios AB. Helldivers is a registered trademark of Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC and related companies in the U.S. and other countries."
Helldivers has been a Sony ip since before 2015. That's why ArrowHead CEO dream is for Helldivers to be part of PlayStation all time franchises.
Another proof for Rebirth’s sales underperformance (relative to its budget).
@GymratAmarillo I stand corrected. Though Arrowhead did develop the game and they remain an independent studio.
I really should get Rebirth first but Dragons Dogma 2 is enticing me to follow it to the checkout page
Good to see Dragon's Dogma 2 up there, amazing game that. Have sunk 68 hours into it and not gotten bored once. I could easily sink another 68 hours into it
SONY has in the making 5+ live service games, yet they have the best one right here already...
You fail to mention that HD2 has dropped to 14th in the UK sales charts.
Final Fantasy has a problem where it doesn't seem to be getting new, younger players into the franchise. Square (and most game companies) in general are struggling with it. Octopath, FF all have been disappointments. People are saying going multiplat will solve it but I don't see it happening.
FF7 Remake with PC barely crossed 7 million (during a pandemic). I don't think Rebirth would've been able to cross those figures.
Also, we have to remember the PS4 had double the units in the market when Remake released. Remake was also very divisive and Rebirth is the same. I've seen people who loved Remake not like the ending of Rebirth.
@xeofate How good is it exactly because I have said all kinds of conflicting things about that I’m finding it difficult to gauge how myself would respond.
@Blackjay I bought it after being on the fence for a while, watching a bit of twitch and reading multiple reviews. I'm a big RPG fan, sank hundreds and hundreds of hours in to FO3, FO4, Skyrim, TW3 plus countless steam games... Its just not for me. I can't get "interested" in it enough to play anymore than 30-40 minutes before going back to something else. I've played around 6 hours and last played it almost 2 weeks ago. Fortunately I had a load of ps stars points I bought some £20 store credits with so it only cost me around £15 but I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it. You might pick it up and think "I love it" but imo perhaps look on FB marketplace and try and low ball someone and pick it up cheapish
Well deserved, it is just consistently the best MP experience out there for me, regular updates keep it fresh too. Looking forward to the new enemy type when they arrive!!
@Blackjay There's nothing I could say that hasn't already been said. Combat and exploration is top class, story is ok but not what you'd play this game for. Some quests can be vague and there's very little hand holding but I prefer that in a game. Enemies can be repetitive early on but you're always on the edge due to the landscape with a risk of getting thrown into water or off a cliff. The performance issues didn't really bother me but I've never been too concerned about framerate in games. You can play the game without ever needing to go near microtransactions, actually they'd just make the game worse if anything. The end game is excellent and changes how you approach the game. I'd give it a 9/10 like PushSquare. I finished the game at 82 hours and enjoyed every minute. I don't know if that helps.
