The physical Deluxe Edition of the epic RPG Baldur's Gate 3 has hit another production snag in North America. Developer and publisher Larian Studios cite "certain processes specifically set by production companies when manufacturing the PS5 discs" as the culprit, noting that approvals in that region are taking longer than expected.
Larian posted the update on Twitter, apologising for the inconvenience and outlining how long it expects the delay to take. North American customers were advised that pre-ordered PS5 copies would be ready in 14 (presumably business) days, followed by another 10 days to deliver directly to customers.
At the start of May, Larian first advised that orders for North American audiences would be delayed as those destined for other regions began to ship out. Here's hoping this spanner in the works is resolved smoothly and the precious collectables within reach their recipient's eager hands without further issue.

I'm finally gonna pick this up on disc (uk) as I've been meaning to play it for a while. Been in a bit of a gaming lull of late so I'm hoping this is the game to pull me out of it. Although it looks like it will be from Ebay as it is nowhere to be seen in stores.
To think players could avoid this issue just by buying it from the PSN store.
I wanted to get this alongside my steam version, but the shipping costs are not acceptable.

It's production issues, @KillerBoy, not distribution. There have been problems with physically making them, which is outsourced, not being done my Larian themselves...
I ordered my Deluxe Xbox copy the day the game became available to pre-order physically, and have yet to receive mine too. Fortunately, I had bought the Early Access version of the game on the PC (day one!) and so have played the game through already. I can wait for my physical masterpiece to arrive, and will probably not open it, just as I have not opened my Collector's Edition either... 😊
@KillerBoy Get used to it as the chances of physical existing next gen is slim.

@AndyKazama Are you from/in the UK by any chance? I've had the tracking website off of Larian (After sending me an email with the digital goods and saying most orders in Europe had already shipped) but it hasn't updated anything for an entire week 😥
@HallowMoonshadow UK. My tracking came thru cql(dot) global and my email provider immediately spammed it and almost deleted it.

I'm from the UK too and have got the exact same thing with CQL (With the actual delivery by royal mail). Don't suppose you know how long you had to wait from getting that email for it to be then actually shipped?
Like I said been a week now for me with nothing happening at all with it just stuck in their warehouse apparently. Found a reddit thread of all things with a lot of other folks stuck in the same position as me...
@HallowMoonshadow initial email May 14th. Roughly 1 week. £20 shipping and they picked a no name company that my email provider thought was spam.
