Capcom revealed the results of a poll conducted in February, and the findings are pretty illuminating. For example, did you know that more people claim Devil May Cry's Dante is their favourite Capcom character, beating out Resident Evil 4's Leon S. Kennedy or Mega Man? How about the fact that, far and away, the series fans most want to see return is Dino Crisis, the cold-blooded survival horror classic from the mind of Resident Evil's Shinji Mikami?
At over 80,000 votes, Dino Crisis was democratically declared the series fans most want to see get a sequel or new game. That's almost 20k more than the runners-up Mega Man and Devil May Cry. When asked which individual Capcom game they liked best, based voters pushed the original 1999 PS1 Dino Crisis to second place, which isn't too shabby at all.

I'm one of those 80k voters for Dino Crisis. DC remake with RE engine would be glorious.
Now let's see if Capcom gonna give the fans wishes for DC remake...probably not until they finished with RE 9 and Code Veronica / 0 / 1 / 5 remake. sigh...
Sounds like a coordinated effort, but I'm not complaining if that gets us a new Dino crisis. Now we also need an onimusha army as well (was that an option in the survey?).

@LordAinsley We don't know what happened with ME Catalyst. But my guess is fans just doesn't like it's a reboot when they actually want the sequel of the first game. I myself bought it and enjoyed the gameplay which is more fluid than the first game. But the story is kinda weird...
And Dino Crisis 1 and 2 sold well. DC 1 sold 2.4 million copies and DC 2 sold 1.2 million copies, all on PS1.

The only games in the series that doesn't sold well was Dino Crisis 3 and Dino Stalker because both are hot garbage especially DC 3. If Capcom remake Dino Crisis 1 or make Dino Crisis 4 with the first game formula, i think it will sold well.

@breakneck There's less reason to make new IP when the old IP sold really well and majority of the fanbase wants new games from old IP.
But recently Capcom had Exoprimal and it was a flop. Let's see if next month people gonna buy Kunitsu-Gami or not. Then we'll wait if Pragmata still alive or got cancelled like Deep Down...
Dinasaurs are cute so I’d love for this to return. I always loved the RE alternatives more than the main thing, like Onimusha.
I'm all for a new Dino Crisis game.
I am not in favour of putting the original game into the new RE engine. Dino Crisis, or Puzzle Crisis as it should be known, is NOT a fun game to revisit. It needs significant work to make it even remotely appealing today. Nostalgia will shift units. Reviews will hate it. New players will pass on it.
We need new Dino Crisis.
Capcom has been on a roll with incredible release after another so I'd be down for them to revive any of their classic IP. Personally, I'm hoping for a DMC 1 Remake as a fan of action games. However, I'll take a modern, survival horror dinosaur game any day of the week, especially with how amazing the new RE games are.

Onimusha and Power stone for me. With all the souls games and Phantom Blade/ Wukong coming out. There's a large enough market to bring back Onimusha.

It was most wanted remake, high up in favourite series/game (2nd in one poll), Regina was in the top 10 best characters multiple times. Remake/sequels to existing IPs was the most wanted direction. The fact this beat DMC in any poll is a hell of a statement.
We are so getting a remake. Also Breath of Fire 3 feature in the top 10 a lot too. My second most wanted after Dino Crisis.
Imagine if they didn't waste all those resources making that multiplayer dinosaur game from last year that I can't even remember the name of, and just remade Dino Crisis with that tech.
Yes, i am a fan of dino's and time travel.
The problem is Dino crisis never took off because of several weird decisions.
The first was was a resident evil with dinos. It was alright, but it was under the shadow of RE which was better.
It was Dino crisis 2 where the series found it's footing moving into more outdoor environment and a more action heavy combat. The story took a step up too. It was the rise of the series.
But, then came the stupid decisions. One, the direct sequel to Dino crisis 2, Dino stalker, not only was named questionably, it was a light gun game. That there made fans of 2 lose contact with the series.
After that they went with the bizarre decision of making a huge time leap, leave behind the established characters and make Dinos in a space station, also known as the Xbox exclusive Dino crisis 3. Which was the disaster that killed the series.
So, do i want Dino crisis back? I want the Dino crisis from 2 back in a nice reboot.

@Nem I prefer DC1. 2 was too arcadey and never stuck with me at first. Eventually I learned to like it, but the move away from survival horror was a bad one for me.
@Stevemalkpus It truly was a gem. In Power Stone 2 I don't think I've spent more hours crafting items than I did in that game to this day. I'd even take a remaster over most of today's party or moba offerings.

I just don’t remember that series being that good, based on what little memory I have if playing (and owning) them. But dinosaurs are always fun… So maybe a new game in the series? A reboot?

I voted for Dino Crisis I loved the first but the second game was also awsome for me. I hope they do a Resident Evil like remake.

I was, too, one of the voters for Dino Crisis. Only played the first one back in the PS1 days and would love a remake. Maybe this time it will be more than just RE with dinos.
