Publisher Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware have just announced a huge sales milestone for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, just days after launch. The expansion, which launched on PS5 and PS4 back on the 21st June, has reached 5 million copies sold within three days.
"This milestone is the result of the tremendous support from fans all over the world, to whom we express our heartfelt gratitude," reads a press release from Bandai Namco.
Shadow of the Erdtree introduces players to a whole new region, with various new enemies and bosses to defeat in your ongoing quest. We really enjoyed the DLC, calling it "a fantastic expansion" despite feeling somewhat familiar to the main game in our review.
Players are clearly enjoying it, too, although many are lamenting quite how difficult Shadow of the Erdtree is. So vocal have the complaints been that FromSoftware has released an update that tones things down.
