As promised, BioWare has unveiled 20 minutes of gameplay from Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Showcasing what looks to be the game's opening act, it's a linear sequence that's been edited down to avoid story spoilers.
The actual art direction is a lot less cartoony than what we saw in the title's incredibly divisive reveal trailer, while the combat really is all-out action, as was rumoured. That said, you can still pause the action in order to issue commands or use specific skills.
We also get to see the return of BioWare's trademark dialogue wheel, which will help shape your custom character's identity. Your hero is fully voiced, by the way, as has been the case since Dragon Age 2.
We think The Veilguard's looking quite good, with this gameplay doing a lot to wash away the aftertaste of that aforementioned reveal trailer. It still doesn't have a specific release date, but it's aiming for the autumn / fall on PS5.
