Correction: Games back at their usual price.
@thefourfoldroot1 Some of these are lowest ever prices on the PS Store to be fair.
Ahhhh.... Lady in Leopard With a Gun is there.... world is balanced again...
@get2sammyb I'm sure they are on ps store but if you count most other places you can buy the games they are probably cheaper not even on a sale price.
@get2sammyb
Oh, fair enough. It’s just my entire Wishlist then lol. That’s often indicative of whether a sale is actually a sale or not given the number of games on there, but perhaps it’s just my luck this time.
Still, there needs to be an end to yo-yo pricing strategies. If a game is on sale it should be lower than every previous price. By at least 50p. Otherwise it is clearly just a continuing manipulation.

"Over 1600 must-play". Just think about that statement for a minute.
If you played nothing else but these, it would take you 5 years to spend a day (8 hours) with each game.
Surely it's your job to narrow down the extreme amount to a more manageable "must-play" list?! 1600 is lunacy!
Hi-Fi Rush is constantly on sale, even as low as £16.80 some months.
So, I've never played Bloodborne, but I am aware of its appeal and I'm not blind to the fact that £7.99 is an absolute steal - but how does it play for someone who has never played a game of its type before. Would you say it's good for a novice?
@purple_mouse_gaming I would say no. I tried it and didnt liked it, but who knows how it will play out for you. I would rather look at Elden Ring myself as game of the game.
Any discounted sales on the PS3 store ?
1600 must play games?! Have you lost your mind?!! I have a wife, kids and a job!
@Blaze215
So if you can get it cheaper physical from other places in your country.
Not all countries have cheaper physical on all games.
This is about a sale on ps store and not on a physical store, would it be better if they stopped reporting on sales?
>Over 1,600 Must-Play Games
It seems you don't understand the meaning of a "must-play game"...
This is why physical is best. You can get these prices all the time and better
@purple_mouse_gaming I don’t know if I’d say any of Froms games are ‘good for beginners’ but you’ll get the hang of it. It’s a masterpiece. Also if you enjoy it, you’ve then got a whole host of incredible games to play. Enjoy!
@purple_mouse_gaming Bloodborne, like most Souls games, CAN be very frustrating at first especially for a novice. It doesn't give you much instruction at all, no map, no go to markers, no complex combat strategies. It gives you the most basic instruction, a world to explore and leaves you to discover, mostly by failure. That is both it's best quality and strongest weakness.
The joy of discovery and failure is not for everyone, but IF it grabs you - and note for many people it takes a fair bit to push through the initial frustrations, and many never do - it can easily become something you love. That sounds prohibitive, but the good news is once you have done this in ONE Souls like game the frustration is less and less each time as you understand the mechanics a lot more and you mostly get the good, which is truly great. Good luck Hunter.
@nomither6 Haha, i even occassionally look sometimes. Play on my PS3 all the time.
I'm sure Sony must be able to make a few quid from cleaning up the UI and getting store prices down across the board.
If i had the ability i would offer to do it for them...
Thanks for the comments and advice everyone 👍🏻
Looks a digital sales price, looks at Amazon price. Physical it is! How is that still the case!?! I saw FFV Rebirth for £50.99, so I might grab that for my summer holibobs if it comes back on sale
@purple_mouse_gaming , I first played Demons Souls back in the day, and thought I didn’t like this kind of game and dropped off it. I caved and got Bloodborne, 10 years ago. It was a gateway drug, and I’ve played everything else since. Bloodborne can be a pain at the start, grinding for blood vials, but it blossoms into such a fantastic game. So much weirdness! Watch out if you stand next to a certain tree in a graveyard!😉
@purple_mouse_gaming In some ways Bloodborne is the most approachable of all the Fromsoft games. While people praise Elden Ring for having a huge variety of playstyles which allows players to tailer the difficulty. BB tackles the problem slightly differently by having a more defined, aggresive, playstyle. You can play the entire game only focussing on Dodging and using the rally mechanic and large amount of health pots to brute force areas.
Its still a challenging game but I think that having less systems makes the game more cohesive and it translates into a more approachable game overall.
Its easily Froms best work and well worth £7.99
@get2sammyb when are they going to fix ps stars I feel like I’m missing out on points if I buy anything now 😩
@TheMysticOne $ony dont give a damn about the the ps3 because it has free online and better games
but on a serious note, @get2sammyb , does the ps3 store have any discounts ??
The deals have been great this year.
Just picked up wrc by codemasters for £20. Its less than 8 months old and is a very high recommendation if you like rally driving!
At the other end of the driving scale, Ive also picked up 'Taxi - city life'. Driving carefully around Barcelona is so relaxing..
Its worth remembering to buy your psn credit cheaply too. Best deal atm seems to be £50 credit for £42. An extra 16% discount for a few taps of a keyboard or tablet shouldnt be ignored..
Tales of arise is a incredible game word up son
Ha, here we go again…just hope this “sale” is better than the last few…I have my doubts though…
Tempted by Hades at £9.99
@Pranwell that’s a good point. I’ve let my membership slip this year, but yeah there were some good discounts. I might resub, I miss Power Wash Simulator
@nomither6 I wish you'd think they would do for people who only own that system and there people who still do we can't be ignorant about it. I have my PS3 still because I am collecting classic games that I love and can't play on PS5.
But again you'd think they would just do a sale it's still income for it
@Ilyn i could never gel with the souls like style games but i did get a good few hours in to Demons souls and put a few in to ER. Your post has made me redownload BB tho after owning it for an age and never really playing more than an hour or 2.
@purple_mouse_gaming the 30 fps was a deal breaker for me.
If you never played any from soft games youre better off starting with original Dark Souls or Demon souls remake. All of these games run at perfect 60.
People seem to praise Bloodborne here because its there system of choice exclusive.
@Nakatomi_Uk yeah , im buying games for dirt cheap on the xbox360 store because the xbox360 store is shutting down next month; i know the ps3 store isn’t shutting down , but to not have any sales for all these games is bullcrap. i’d prefer to play a lot of these 7th generation games on my ps3 , but why would i if it’s cheaper on xbox
@Neverwild of course not all are cheaper everywhere that's why i used the words 'most' and 'probably'. Using absolutes to try and disprove my point is lazy
@nocdaes chatgpt told me 4.38 years , but your math skills are insane either way 😆
Tales of Arise is a bargain at that price......though I forget if it was a monthly free game on PS Plus
@Blaze215 yet you ignored rest of what I wrote.
In many countries its not cheaper with physical at all and not all games exist physical anymore.
But still people feels the need to hate on digital sales everytime.
If you are not interested so move on to another topic instead.
@Neverwild PlayStation have been brought to court for their digital storefront practices, they deserve plenty of criticism. Why defend what is clearly a massive rip off to consumers?Digital sales cost much less than selling physical yet they are on average way more expensive.
@Blaze215
Same as all other plattform holders has been and nothing will happen since people choose by themself. Sony and others arent forcing them.
Still why complain about digital sale if youre not interested, move on with your hate.
90% of games are better priced digital or only availible digital in many countries.
Only cause you live where you can get physical without problem doesnt mean others can do that.
So why complain when does people get a sale?
@neverwild My God valid criticism is hate now 😂 look you clearly are one of those people who will stand up for massive corporations over customers so good for you 👍 I will now "move on" of my own accord and not waste any more time on this conversation
@purple_mouse_gaming Regarding Bloodborne for beginners — If there’s something I’d suggest it would be don’t hesitate to ask for help or consult online guides. Especially the first area is really tough and can immediately put people off. There’s some sound advice that can get you through those opening hours (which I’ll not go into detail here) that the game doesn’t really tell you so just a few little pieces of information can make a big difference if you are able to give it the proper time before feeling like it’s not for you.
It was my first FromSoft game and it was tough in the early going but became one of my very favorite PS4 games.
How is the Pathless for 14?
@colonelkilgore
It’s actually Sakura Wars Deluxe Edition that’s on sale (for under a tenner!). Just in case anyone checks and gets confused.
@Westernwolf4 Really good, I platinumed the game a few years ago.
Zanki Zero tempting me.
"Must Play Games!" followed by Final Fantasy 16 and Watch Dogs Legion is certainly an opinion.
@Westernwolf4 Still one of my favourite PS5 games. It’s not very challenging but if you like exploration, solving puzzles and a traversal system that is slightly more involved than usual, it could be a great deal for you. It also has an outstanding OST and a unique art style.
Looking at signalis but what's putting me off buying games atm is ps stars being down
@Jimmer-jammer I really appreciate the input from you and Adam Novice. I am going for it! All the things you mention I love in games!
Damn if they’re all must-play, I’ll buy all 1,600
10 minutes later: “Babe, we are going to need to take a loan out.”
Can someone tell Sony that discounts are meant to fluctuate and not remain the same for years in a row?
@DrVenture69
Can be found used for as low as £35 on FB marketplace
Must play? 80% are shovel ware for no-dignity platinum hunters, the other 20% are decent games that almost everyone owns (bloodborne / god of war etc) The lack of quality control on PSN is drowning the good games in a sea of dross
@Westernwolf4 really enjoyed The Pathless. Also platinumed it like others here
@themightyant Thanks! Bought it today and looking forward to it!
@nocdaes i thought the same thing. not sure there are even 1600 "must-play games" in the history of gaming (from the 80s through 2024).... maybe 1000 at best? surely that is a sensationalized headline when discussing ps4 and ps5 specifically
Most of them are still more than I'm prepared to pay. I'm replaying ps3 classics that were long forgotten on my pc/steamdeck, subs as portal too, nowadays. Costs are low, games are good and bizarrely very title in the way of microtransactions.
@Porco 70's 😁
@themightyant Pathless was the first game I played on PS5 and I loved it. I’ll have to replay it sometime when there isn’t a mountain of backlog!
@DrVenture69 So never then... lol
Backlogs are brutal, and only ever get longer.
Great game though, would also like to replay. And that Austin Wintory soundtrack is fire.
The Voice of Cards trilogy is finally on sale at below £25, but I won't buy anything until PS Stars is fixed.
@themightyant I’d not heard of him, just looked him up on Spotify and, um, wow! Journey, Assassins Creed, Abzu! Playing the Pathless soundtrack now!
