The Talos Principle 2 team Croteam appears to be building up to the announcement of new content for the PS5 puzzler, with multiple teases posted to Twitter. They started at the beginning of May with the studio quote tweeting its own post with the classic eyes emoji, and now a new upload teases there's "big news on the horizon".
The attached picture features three robots sunbathing next to a structure with a light puzzle inside, with the full caption reading: "Summer is here, and there's big news on the horizon." The original game was also supported with a post-launch expansion roughly six months after release, which was bundled in with the PS4 version as a Deluxe Edition.
The official announcement seems imminent, so the two most likely hosts for it are the Summer Game Fest live show this Friday and the Devolver Digital showcase following it, since the publisher helped bring The Talos Principle 2 to market.
Released for PS5 late last year, we awarded an impressive 9/10 rating in our The Talos Principle 2 PS5 review. Praising its new puzzle mechanics, philosophical discussions, and amazing scenery, we concluded: "If the puzzle solving doesn't get your brain ticking, then the in-depth philosophical discussions surely will. With exceptional puzzle design, glorious presentation, and thought-provoking conversations, Croteam has created a follow-up to be remembered for years to come."

I completed the first game and its DLC just a couple days ago (loved it), so this would be good timing for me. While I definitely could use a small break to un-fry my brain after that puzzle marathon (seriously, I dreamt of blue & red lasers today) I'm honestly itching to jump into the sequel.
What isn't imminent these days?!
Game seems fantastic. Sadly, not my cup of tea.
Loved the original, played it loads of times, the dlc for the original was brain melting so I’ll be interested to see if they ratchet up the difficulty with this dlc. Looking forward to it!
Oh yes, day one purchase!
My 5 year old son loves the hell out of the main game (me too!). I finished the PS5 game with him. He solved quite a few puzzles by himself after he learned how the various connectors can be used. He even showed me a possible solution during a more complicated puzzle, leaving me O_O ... The mind of a child is amazing, the speed at which they can learn new stuff, especially when it comes to an activity he/she likes.
Well, at least I'll have a lot of complete editions by the time I get a ps5.
Both games are brilliant and the sequel introduces enough new mechanics and some great philosophical interactions with your robot buddies to keep things fresh. The biggest surprise however is how visually stunning the second game is, even at 60fps, it's utterly gorgeous and what I'm hoping future RPG open worlds aspire to. Considering it's a small indie team that accomplished these graphics, I'd imagine we're in for a real treat with forthcoming AAA games.
Really liked the first one. Up to the point I found it too hard! This coming from someone who completed Braid without a guide back in the day. I suspect my brain has atrophied over the years. Can’t justify going near the sequel (let alone its DLC) until I’ve at least finished the first. A guide could get me past some of the harder parts but I hate using one for puzzle games. Feels like a cheated victory but maybe I’m being daft.
I enjoyed both the original and this version. Not sure I feel the need to return however. But if you like puzzle games get this or the original.
Oh and one more thing: if you look closely at the image, there's a green receiver on the side of the building - meaning, it's out of the puzzle room that is inside the building - best indication there's gonna be secret puzzles included !
