In this author's humble opinion, Fate/Samurai Remnant was one of the most overlooked titles of 2023 — and its post-launch support hasn't been bad, either. Its third and final slice of DLC has been named, and it arrives later this week, on the 20th July.
It's another expansion of sorts, adding a new story chapter to the action RPG's existing campaign. This one revolves around the heroic spirit of Three Kingdoms China, Zhao Yun — the spear-wielding warrior who Dynasty Warriors fans should be familiar with.
The official description reads: "Mysteriously disappearing children. Rumors of evil spirits in Yoshiwara. A strange voice calling out to Miyamoto Iori. A suddenly attacking bird monster. In the midst of all these strange incidents, Yui Shousetsu appears in the form of a child and declares that if nothing is done, Edo will be destroyed. With the Spirit Font in turmoil, aspirants of the Waxing Moon join together to face a new anomaly."
Fate/Samurai Remnant's two previous expansions have added roughly a few hours of content each, so we're assuming 'Bailong and the Crimson Demon' will continue that trend. It'll hopefully give the game the sendoff that it deserves in terms of quality.
