Sonic X Shadow Generations is still a good few months away, but SEGA is getting hedgehog fans excited with small updates here and there. The latest comes in the form of a comparison trailer, placing classic Shadow levels side by side with the revamped versions in the upcoming game.

As you can see, stages from Sonic games in which Shadow has made an appearance are being spruced up for the new 3D platformer. We're shown classic levels from Sonic Adventure 2 (where Shadow debuted), Sonic Heroes, and Sonic the Hedgehog '06. Whether you like these titles or not, the new takes on these old levels are looking pretty good.

Sonic X Shadow Generations is a remaster of the fan favourite Sonic Generations, and as the name suggests, comes with an all-new Shadow-focused campaign. It's due to release on both PS5 and PS4 on 25th October, 2024. Are you looking forward to it? What do you make of the comparison trailer? Tell us in the comments section below.
