I'll probably be very happy playing the game, too. Right up to the moment where the antagonist opens their mouths and I once again feel the pain of unskippable cutscenes.

I really enjoyed the borderlands games apart from that tiny Tina's (i)wonderwhytheyf**kingmadethiscrap entry. I tried to enjoy it but it was just obnoxious rubbish which thought it was a lot more humorous and clever than it actually was. I'll be watching the movie next month and I'll grab this when it drops.

He made a lot of excuses of what gone wrong, pointed his fingers to Sega and claim the game is actually good then blame gamers for the low sales lmao what a fkin clown.

For me this IP lost it's appeal after Borderlands 1.
Coming from playing BL1, a game I finished at least 4-5 times with all of it's DLC's, and I had a blast in solo and coop... I preordered Borderlands 2, hoping to have at least the same experience... boy, was I disappointed.
Weapons were added by the millions but became meaningless, drop rate and quality were insufficient to keep up with the difficulty spikes... Shields too... Healing was no longer "in your hands" so to speak, you had to rely only on what dropped (if dropped) or on leach (IF you had good weapons... huge ass IF) etc... BL2 was unnecessarily hard for this reason, even in a coop party.... it ceased to be fun.
Tried Borderlands 3 because I received it as a gift on one of my PC parts (CPU I think)... But found it lacking in all areas, and lost all interest in it at about 30% into the solo campaign...
I'm curious to see what they come up with in Borderlands 4, but unless it's superbly done, I won't get it full price (if at all...)

Doubt it, writing in Borderlands 3 was so bad I skipped all cutscenes and muting ones I couldn't.

I really liked 2. I found the rest forgettable.

Given this is the same Randy that (in my former life), stood in front of a bunch of us games store managers showing off Colonial Marines trailers extolling how amazing it was!!...🙄 And then all the collectors editions i ended up getting cancelled as I couldn't flog them in good conscience without warning customers if I still wanted them as regular customers to preorder anything again! "Sure Jan!"😂 I'll wait!!

I loved BL1 - it actually felt original, and drew me into the world. It had a lot of flava that helped it stand out. I enjoyed the BL2 story and new environments. Hated the BL3 main story with terrible big bads. Though the DLCs were fun in places. Absolutely detested the other one in space, and TTW was absolutely forgettable.

What I could never get was why they did not build in a gun maker for players. So many of us gamers have imaginations and artistic inclinations - and I would love to see what guns people would come up with.

Honestly, I'd probably get more of a boot out of that than the game itself. The games have really gotten old in their design, and their tone particularly.

Randy didn't made "bad games" but he made BROKEN games while lying through his teeth about Alien: Colonial Marines trailer. He claimed the final game will looks amazing just like the first trailer. Then after 6 years in development, the game released and not just it looks nothing like the first trailer but the game was unplayable with tons of bugs and broken stuff. Sega and Gearbox got lawsuit for misleading people but the judge weirdly dropped Gearbox from the case.

Don't get me start with Duke Nukem Forever which Randy claimed it's a good game lmao.

I can’t wait, loved all the Borderlands stuff, except for Wonderlands. So as long as it stays far away from that world I’m all in.

Yeah, I'm sure the game will be game of the year material as long as they keep all that Gen Z humor in there that was such a hit in Borderlands 3.

After completing the third gane, I'm kinda burnt out on the series. Will most likely give this one a miss.

Hmm maybe it's going to be great like borderlands 1 BUT they have done away with cell shading gfx and now is full power of Unreal 5 looking similar to God of war ragnarok etc, but it's borderlands would be insane!!!

BL2 was the peak for me so far. I put probably close to 500 hours into that game going back to the PS3 version. All the characters felt so fun and unique.

BL3 by comparison I thought added a lot of good things, with guns, and small QoL updates. But I probably only put like < 200 hours into that. I didn't like it felt like Mayhem really seemed to bottleneck you into only using certain builds, as opposed to the ones you wanted. That may have changed since the last time I played, but I remember for Fl4K the green tree build was the go-to for the longest time.

Anyway, for BL4, I think having some more QoL updates would be helpful, and doing something more impactful with the endgame where it isn't such a grind. Like I know that's the point with looter shooters, but I dunno, it gets tiresome after a while. I liked that BL3 made legendaries drop like crazy, but I don't know if that should be scaled back or not.

Just imagine it will be more of the same...so if u want that you will be happy....Loved playing Borderlands 2 with the missus ..and we have found each game after harder and harder to finish ..just bored ofit ..if it's just more of the same doubt I will bother
