Bite-sized PSP action platformer Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is available to download on PS5 and PS4 right now, and yes, there’s a Platinum pot to unlock along the way. The spin-off adventure developed by High Voltage Games has been added to the PS Store as part of PS Plus Premium – although you can purchase it individually as well.
The Trophies are largely what you’d expect: progress through the campaign, defeat the bosses, collect all the weapons, and gather some Titanium Bolts. You’ll also need to defeat boss Mungo with just your wrench, but fortunately you’ll have quick saves and rewind on offer as part of PlayStation’s emulator to help you complete the task.
There are some fun Trophy names here, including the pièce de résistance, ‘It’s How You Use It’ for the Platinum gong. Will you be going for 100% in this shorter Ratchet & Clank adventure? Don’t forget the minigames in the comments section below.

One of my PSP faves and my first ever Ratchet. I will definitely be trophy hunting this one. Just wrapping up the platinum for Ratchet 3 too. Perfect timing.
Think I'll keep playing it on my PSP or Vita, thanks, as it's loaded and ready to go on holiday!
Never understood the fascination with trophies...
Looking forward to this, a lovely little diversion from The First Descendant.
"Collect all the weapons"
And there goes that Platinum trophy, because the bolt economy in the game sucks and the last weapon costs the bolt cap.
Yes. The cap for how much money you can have. In a game that barely gives you any.
@AK4tywill this was my first ratchet as well.
@Haruki_NLI Already saw a farming method on Metalis, could be worse like 10,000 kills on Final Fantasy IX lol
Will be going for this one on my off days this week.
I’m really liking these free PS5 versions of the PSP games I bought years ago! So in addition to R&C, I’ve now got Resistance: Retribution, Killzone: Liberation & Super Stardust Portable*, with some slight improvements and trophies.
*there’s a degree of irony in playing this on PS5, but I do have my PS Portal to make it ‘portable’ again. In addition to my Vita …
Any idea if it's 30fps or 60? Assuming 30
I still have this game on PSP. I really enjoyed it but admittedly I wasn't a fan of the racing mini games.
More challenges to tick off from the developer. Perfect. Can always do with that in older games.
@Haruki_NLI Agreed everyone's favourite 999000 bolts, it's not worth the Ratchet 1 or Size Matters what 4+ playthroughs if did it that way and with Otto being a pain to beat regardless.
I just grinded levels to get bolts probably what 30+ times, or could do hundreds of Clank arena runs. I'm not replaying it again.
SAC is enough with the bad skill points worse then SM let alone weapon level grinding then bolt grinding that way, or the glasses 3 hidden symbols, and the key cards for whatever eh in the treehouse.
@rusty82 Just checked. It is indeed 30fps I'm afraid (though it does at least have right analogue stick support).
@AK4tywill it has right stick support? That's at least one positive. Assumed being a PSP game it was 30fps but was hoping I was wrong. Cheers
Finally more Ratchet and Clank to play
