Special Concord PS5 Controller Looks More Appealing Than the Game

Wow that is ugly.

If Astro Bot doesn't get a limited edition controller but Concord does, there is no justice in the world.

This will be a fun curiosity to have in about 2-3 years when people will be wondering why Sony made a controller with the capital city of New Hampshire on the back.

@RBMango An Astro pad would be peak. Definitely keeping my fingers crossed.

I quite like this as special edition controllers go, but don't think it needs the logo on the back of the pad

This might be mean to say, but it'd be kind of funny if the Concord controller outsold the Concord game.

The last special edition controller I bought off Sony, the Spider-Man one, has stick drift, so now I need to get it replaced 😂 trust my luck 😂

Going to be entertaining to see scalpers trying to sell these on eBay for 3x retail, with no-one interested because the game it's associated with is mediocre.

Concorde is a game that Time Extension will have a story on 20 years from now about "what went wrong" with a game nobody's heard about 20 years back.

It really is a pretty controller. Except it looks like it's the pre-order for the PS5 future release of Starfield's special DS5 controller.

Not seen the Space Marine 2 controller on Warhammer Merch website? beats this one at £125 for a standard controller with a picture on it. but it may just be a skin custom pad rather than official direct store one.

$84.99 for a controller, that will probably drift in a year or two and need to be replaced? Even if a game code came included it would still be a hard pass. Still waiting on $50 3rd party controllers for the PS5, maybe by the time the PS6 releases.😝

When this game will go offline, at least one thing will keep reminding us: an ugly controller the guests have to use for FC couch coop.

It's just gets more laughable when considering how much money, time, and fan sentiment Sony has wasted on this greed driven trend chasing flop.

I genuinely wonder if they orchestrated the barren wasteland that has been Sony first party output this year with the hopes that with nothing else to play on that front that fans would pay to give this garbage a go.

Hey at least we have a couple gimmicky kids games to look forward to on top of paying for a modest hardware upgrade merely to compensate for all the unoptomized/unfinished third party releases we have had in the last 2 years.

@jrt87 good point. All three I mentioned haven't bothered to truly address performance in meaningful ways, so it's possible they won't.

However I wouldn't be surprised if they have held off on doing so because of insider knowledge from Sony on the pro merely to double dip in terms of marketing hype and effectively getting a second release window to drive up sales alongside helping Sony sell the hardware in the process.

As far as the concord game goes, everything I've seen of it since the reveal trailer is as generic and woke as you can possibly get. Add the overall dullness of the game and this has DOA written all over it.

All that money blown on an agenda driven game.

Every decision maker involved in supporting this agenda driven rubbish game deserves to get fired and never be allowed to work in a position responsibility ever again.

As for the devs...folks just take the money whilst you can and bail out before you get pushed !

I expected this headline as soon as I saw the controller, it's pretty neat and not too specific for non-players. Astro Bot controller takes my money hands down tho ✨
