Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's Season 2 has been delayed mere days before the content was scheduled to go live. Rocksteady has posted the new launch date as 25th July, so players must wait a little longer to chill out with the incoming playable character, Mrs. Freeze.
On X, the game's official account announced the delay, noting that it was "adjusting the release timing" for the next season of live content, and thanked fans for their patience (thanks, IGN). No reason was given for the delay.
It is a little odd, as Season 2 was only revealed last week, but we suppose a short delay isn't the end of the world. Fans of super-villainy can look forward to new narrative content as the season progresses, the obligatory helping handful of cosmetic skins, and a new Battle Pass to blast through.
Why do you think Suicide Squad's Season 2 was snap-frozen at the eleventh hour? Could it be the chilling effect? Indulge in your own ice puns in the comments section below.

Coooool. Something for someone but I moved on.
This game is the gift that keeps on giving. The last time I had this much fun laughing at a game I didn't buy was Lawbreakers.
Rocksteady threw itself off the live service cliff and makes a point of hitting every single rock on the way down.
How do you mess up that bad of a design for Mr. Freeze that it looks like a Karen?
Are people even still playing?
I'm still scratching my head over this game.
End goal.is just an endless shooter?
Live service offering are secondary characters with 0 real story
@Nepp67 how do you like your Karen's? I like mine ice cold...
@AdamantiumPriest well they definitely ain’t hot
Isn’t this game hitting sub-100 player counts at this point?
Weird, if they wanted a female Mr. Freeze why not just choose Nora?
@somnambulance Yeah I took a look on steam DB, in June roughly 100 players were playing the game on average. Right now an average of 350 players, probably the summer effect plus the game at $20 ?
To give some order of magnitude:
Even WRC Rally, which is a great but very niche game for the few people who like that kind of stuff, has an average of 650 players...
Nier Automata, a great old game, about 1250 on average.
I'm not mentioning Elden Ring, this is so embarrassing.
@B0udoir I wonder how much longer they’ll go with it. I can’t imagine the whales are too large on this one.
Please just let rocksteady develop another single player story driven Batman game
