Dead by Daylight is so big these days, it’s spawning its own line of full-scale spin-off games, starting with narrative adventure The Casting of Frank Stone. Developed by Until Dawn maker Supermassive Games, the title’s due out on 3rd September for the budget price of $39.99. There’ll also be a Deluxe Edition for $49.99.
The latter will launch with immediate access to a feature called The Cutting Room Floor, which is effectively a level select. This will allow you to return to key decisions in the story to explore different outcomes or collect overlooked items. You’ll also get eight exclusive outfits.

You’ll also unlock the following content for use in Dead by Daylight:
- Frank Stone Mask cosmetic for The Trapper (Deluxe Edition exclusive)
- “Frank Stone” badge and banner (Deluxe Edition exclusive)
- Three Rellik doll charms (Deluxe Edition exclusive)
- Murder Mill shirt cosmetic for all Original Survivors
- Murder Mill badge and banner
- Two million Bloodpoints
As for the game itself, the press release teases: “The shadow of Frank Stone looms over Cedar Hills, a town forever altered by his violent past. As a group of young friends are about to discover, Stone’s blood-soaked legacy cuts deep, leaving scars across families, generations, and the very fabric of reality itself.”
We really enjoyed the grindhouse-style trailer, but Supermassive Games’ track record has been spotty of late. Hopefully it can make up for the inconsistent Dark Pictures Anthology with this Dead by Daylight tie-in.

No physical planned so I'm gonna hold off and hope they do one later
Sweet. I might grab it, I loved until dawn and the quarry so why not. An the price Which I am really surprised by I would've expected a full $70+ price tag.
It looks good, I'll definitely buy it. I love these interactive movie-like games, I can spend long hours on them because I examine every little detail and read every paper scrap.
But I will wait with it because I definitely won't finish Wukong by then, considering my limited gaming time...
@MurmenRider43 the quarry was super underrated! fun game
@Logonogo That it was. I ended up playing through it with my older brother over coop. Enjoyed it so much that I ended up replaying it with my ex girlfriend
