We've got another round of Concord character trailers to luxuriate in, and this time, it's Roka, Duchess, and Kips' turn to shine. Previously, we got a look at Jabali, Teo, and It-Z, and then it was Lennox, Haymar, 1-0FF, and Star Child. With a total of 16 Freegunners promised at launch (on PS5 and PC on 23rd August), we've just passed the halfway mark, and the character trailers will continue until morale improves.
If that wasn't enough pre-release Concord promo for you, then perhaps the animated Freegunner Adventures is more your cup of tea? Sony is trying to make Concord a thing, and this relentless, multi-pronged marketing approach is not something we often see from the firm. It will be fascinating to see how it's ultimately received, but hold your horses; we've still got another six character trailers to look forward to!

I don't think the character designs are ugly. But they just lacks some flair that makes them looks interesting or appealing to play.
The character designs are just very generic and uninspired; there is no flair or appeal. The choice to go with a hyper-realistic art style has really bit them in the butts; these could be way more interesting if they could be exaggerated and the silhouettes made more iconic. This game is a great example of design by committee and trying to make a game that would appeal to everyone

same, the graphics look great, love the ui and the theme overall.
the movement is kind of slow for me but not diffrent than other games in this genre (im just an old UT player)
and the bonus here is no battlepass and fomo stuff, for me its enough to try but i dont want to buy another live service game from sony just to see it dead in the end, maybe ill wait a month.
also Sony need to release those live services games on xbox bc most of the time the pc community just not into it, hope the pc player base would help.
I don't hate the thing, but I can't imagine it doing better than the Marvel thing.

its so average the characters not having ultimate's is a bizarre choice that makes the game fairer but not fun
@Stevemalkpus With pleasure, the game is an uninteresting ugly looking game. Sony made a big mistake with purchasing this studio.
If the Forza 5 rumors are true, then Sony, in order to restore cosmic balance, should release Concord for XBOX as well.

@nomither6 cannot have attractive characters! Or a character creator like the Chinese game Mecha Break which is still in beta. Western developers are too busy pushing the “modern audience narrative.”
This game will fail.
@Perturbator Concord probably fits the Xbox demographic better than the PlayStation one, so I don’t think you’re wrong, though Overwatch is direct competition.
At any rate, I liked how the beta felt to play. It was better to me than Overwatch is now. If the game didn’t feel dead in the water to the point where Sony may have to save face with it, the beta would’ve gotten me to preorder. But now… now… I’m sort of waiting for the inevitable bundle into PS+ or something like Destruction All Stars had after its initial sales and preorder numbers were so poor.
The marketing on this and Veilguard probably will work on the masses. But man it all looks so desperate when you follow this stuff.
@NEStalgia It's a widely panned live service game with a huge budget and beta player counts so bad it became newsworthy. I'd be desperate too if I had sunk money into this.
@Ralizah There's a certain point where you just put up a "Thanks for Playing!" screen instead of dumping a few more million in marketing to try to scam the clueless, and walk away and hope nobody notices, and in this case, nobody actually would.
This is a case where "launch sales marketing push" and "class action" kinda rhyme.

Sony should release all of their live service games on Xbox, why are they not? It doesn't make sense. Single player games, fine, I understand but the live service ones should be available on my smart fridge. Just like Skyrim (jk don't give Todd ideas).
Everything about this game is hilarious to me, from the terrible character designs to how mad it's existence makes people. To me it just looks very mid
@NomNom Why would Sony release their live service or any of their games for Xbox when Xbox hardware and userbase are so far behind compare to PS5? That's just a waste of money and time.
Even plenty of 3rd party studios thinks it doesn't worth to keeps supporting Xbox because Xbox hardware sales are flatlining around the world.
